The game doesn't overwrite or delete any saves, so that's why the saves folder is huge. Just delete everything except the last two or so. The "enhanced edition" was very easy yes, they seem to have lowered the difficulty with the last patch. The game was pretty hard at some points when first released.
I have a scoiatel save if you'd want it.

Druid is a extra fight but not part of the championship challenge as such, has a nice bonus though if you win both times and get the tooth (And the others.), was in one of the caves in the endgame part around the swamp area, somewhat hidden.

You finish the fistfight quest before that encounter by defeating that other champion, he'll still be there but won't fight you otherwise.
(You don't miss all too much as such though minus the possible reward for that tooth, I think as with the newest update Aardvall isn't available aside from the grandmaster and the silver sword equal can also be obtained earlier though it depends on various choices but isn't a strict requirement, even the default baseline swords are fine if backed up by sign usage but the damage bonus is very useful.)

Huh? I thought the druid was the last fighter. I didn't finish the quest untill I fought him if I remember correctly.
Here's a save with everything possible done (I think it's everything), Triss chosen and teh elves path taken. In the end I wasted skill points because the game got too easy, so some skill choices might not make any sense. Shouldn't have any effect on save importing in Witcher 2 though.

The way it worked for me was that the quest closed after you finished all the other champion fights and then a separate quest is started when you talk to the druid (And the others being defeated.) which closes after you've beat him twice, it's possible if you haven't fought all the others yet that it also closes the first fist-fight quest line upon completion and you are set as champion.
I'll look it up more thoroughly.

That could be it. I don't remember it clearly.

Thanks for the savegame, I'll put this somewhere to have it in case I don't play the game again and I want to import into the second game. Those choices are what I want for a first import, but I wonder, what about other little choices, they may affect the second game in ways I don't want (JB and I discussed this some time ago), so that's why I'm still not sure about importing others savegames.

just depends on how 'in to the game' you are, and how much you care about the story. if you really care about the story/world/characters, i cant imagine why youd ever want to continue a sequel based on someone elses role-play.
...unless its true that witcher 2 actually has a really weak-as-fuck usage of w1 savegame stats.... in which case it wont really matter. im still hoping the saves matter more than just what faction alignment you have at the start of the game... otherwise save importing is just a joke.

I doubt the save will have much impact. The only major choices taken into consideration are probably elves vs. order and Shani vs. Triss. There might be little remarks too (like did you kill the Striga or not), but those will be small I'd say.

which almost begs the question... why bother? i kinda expected more from cdp than a silly save gimmick... i was really hoping they were going to try and build a large relevant and consistent 'world' for the game... but oh well... theres always witcher 3, right? still finding their footing and what not, i guess...
and its not like im going to cancel my pre-order over this or anything...

But don't you get to select the choices anyway if you don't import from a series of questions as usual?

Wasn't that Mass Effect 2, and didn't those questions only cover two or three major points thus missing a lot of what people did in the first game?

i didnt pick up on every little thing that happened, but after having played a new character on me2 and then playing with an me1 save, i felt i got a different experience. it was nice to hear characters reference shit id done, or seeing (or not seeing) characters again from the first one. it all lent itself to creating a bigger world that you felt you had some control over and there was some consistancy.
to me, its not about the BIG decisions.. its actually more about the smaller ones than anything else.

Nope. Mass Effect 2 pretty much forced it with one predefined choice. Only difference was who lived/died in ME1, depending on player gender.

Replaying TW1 in preparation for TW2 but am facing a problem. I seem to get audio glitches/distortion constantly. Not very bad but annoying. It seems like the audio hangs/slows down for a split second every now and then and becomes weird and distorted. Hard to describe really. Using Win7 64bit and SoundMAX onboard sound. Oh and I never had that problem before on my previous playthroughs on XP. The only truly significant change to my PC since then has been a vcard update so it probably is a software problem.

1. Make sure to have OpenAL installed.
2. Make sure to have the game patched to latest version.
3. Check driver updates for that SoundMAX crap (have same audio so no pun intended ).
4. Check this link for download of a certain Asus driver (IF your MB is Asus branded ofc).
5. Eventually get a real audio solution (as a dedicated PCI good sound card). This one is also directed towards me.

Thanks but unfortounately none of the things you suggested worked ('cept buying a sound card obviously). Oh and when I tried the drivers from the link you provided I got a "newer version already installed" message.
