For example our entire universe could be just a computer simulation of a more advanced race. No one guarantees that the laws of physics even match inside or outside of the simulation. (Think Matrix. And if you read about "many-worlds" interpretation of quantum mechanics, which is something we are starting to learn about, I think there's a concept of consciousness involved in it. Although I'm not very informed in this area. |
but consciousness only in the aspect of "interconnected relations of cause and effect" not so much in a way of a self aware decision making environment.
more of a "this universe is 'aware' of the actions of this other one"...in the way that a baseball is 'aware' of the actions of a bat hitting it, and adjusts its direction of travel based on it.
