Keep in mind that you will get the best FPS when playing as a client in a multiplayer server. The AI calculations put a massive strain on the host CPU.

ya its normally at 3ghz, lost power due to a snow storm for a few days and it reset. put it back to 3ghz and it helped

arrow head is 18 american dollars! is cheap, and soon we will have arma 2 proyect reality, this will be the best sim experience

Thats absolutely right. I have bought all BIS OFP/Arma series with all expansions/DLCs.
Well you may say that some DLC/Expansion are not worth release price but at the same time some includes content which is worth more than 2x or more actual release price.
But yeah, BIS makes free patches even beta patches.. like 2 weeks ago, they released 4 beta patches in one week. Which included AI fixes, Graphic improvements and other things.
Definitely I will support BIS in future. PC Gamer had picked BIS as best and user friendly PC developer 2 years a row now, and I think they are absolutely right.
BTW! Arma2 last DLC PMC was 3 month ago and they haven't announced a thing yet. Wonder does they announce Arma3 this year. I think there will be at least 1 more DLC or Expansion maybe but I think it is time now to go Arma3. Ofcourse It needs complete engine improvement or even new engine to make next gen soldier sim like OFP was in 2001 but one way or another... I have some how feeling that they will announce something big this year, and for Arma3 they should have started making this by now so... we will see about that

They patched and it borked saved games and it's already been patched a few times since then, that was YESTERDAY.
I bought the PMC DLC for this during the holiday sale but I've only tried messing with it a few times here and there.
I remember seeing the PMC advertise the dynamic coop mission generator deal. Does anyone know how to do that? Which option(s) do I choose to get to that point?
Hmm i have a strange problem, Arma2 and Arrowhead (doesnt matter witch patch, tried every single one of the possible configurations: A2, A2+patch1, A2+A2:OA, A2+A2:OA and so on...) but everytime I start the game it crashes after 5~ minutes, I can look at the menu - after 5mins crash, I can play a mission - 5mins... crash, editor? - 5mins crash... Well you get the point, did anyone encounter something like this? Or do you know what could be wrong? When I first played the game everything was fine, just now after a long time I reinstalled an it started to do this... halp?!
edit: nevermind, seems to be gone... 4th reinstall somehow fixed it...
I am using the newest patch + miniimage from GCW, no crashes whatsoever now. Btw try updating your video drivers and directx (i heard that it helped someone, not in my case ofc)

The dlc needed new keys. I suppose it's the same with Reinforcements.
The only time that wasn't need any key was with ArmA: Queen's Gambit "expansion".

so i have a quad core q6600 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, gtx460 1gb
i feel like i should be getting better fps what with how the game runs, any ideas or is my pc just not good enough lol
Probably more cpu bound with arma2 than anything. If you feel comfortable OC'ing you'd probably see an increase. You can also look up arma2 nvidia tweaks as there some out there that help, but again I think your cpu clock is the bigger issue.
FWIW, once I tweaked mine I'll still see FPS drop into the 20's in some spots, but it doesn't really feel like it. Just the way the game is.
That, and this game really shines in MP just like the original OFP did. I play with the same group of guys at least once a week and it's unmatched for a tactical military sim IMO.
