I had that too mate. CPU using 50%, but nothing happens.. just black screen and every once in a while a pop of repeating audio. Only way to close is to taskman it.

I'm confident they will. There were no PC media released and the graphics whores/Crysis fans were worried it would look bad. Now that they know that's not the case, PC preorders numbers are definitely going up.
However I'm not saying "piracy helps sales!"; I'm saying "piracy helps sales when the company fails to provide a demo..."

Maybe 'cause i was expecting another console shooter, this one surprised me, even in beta state. The graphics in dx9 and only medium settings are far superior to any title on the market (except maybe the 1st). I had forgot how cool it is to be able to interact with every single piece of furniture in the environment, even if it doesn't serve any purpose, it raises considerably the immersion, giving you the feeling you are in some real place and not some fake glued and badly textured piece of crap like COD.
And the shooting.... now i realize that the last proper mouse handling shooter i played was probably the 1st one. It feels proper, and you can actually aim to someones head easily miles away without mouse lagging.
Surprisingly i think this might turn out very good.

YES! Crytek kept their promise and the game makes proper use of quad cores!
That's up to 90% use on all four cores, no? The original barely utilized 2...
As far as graphics + tech are concerned I believe Crytek did a very good job on the PC side.

All we need now is for someone to reconstruct the original game.
If backwards compatibility was somewhat respected, this shouldn't be too much a deal.

Oh look, another militaristic FPS that tries real hard to make me care for amerikuh.
And this time done by an european (sort of...) developer.
Escaped the sub, got saved, intro kicked in and then nothing.
I'll have to try starting from the level screen or whatever.
Performance is all over the place, but that was expected because this is a beta and because nvidia shelled out $2M to "add their touch" to the PC version(what I don't know is if it was just for the DX11 version).

Had no real interest in this after the console switch even though I liked both the Original and the Warhead expansion pack but from what i'm hearing about this game, from you guys and girls, it's sounding more positive then not despite some intial fears of how it could turn out.
I hope for Cryteks sake that they have made a decent enough game with a decent supportted online mode with it, so that people will want to buy it.

It's a CoD-style game, but from what little I've played it plays much better than the recent CoDs and you can easily die if you are not constantly changing modes on your suit. Also I ran out of ammo pretty fast!
So to me it definitely doesn't look like a brainless "press X to win" type of game, but I can already see it also doesn't have the freedom of the original. For example I don't think there's much/any exploration to do in this one, but it's important to note that the levels don't suffer from constant enemy spawning as CoD's do. So you can take your time if you want, stealthily kill some enemies etc.
So imagine what if Crysis and CoD had a child? Well this is it
And it has kick-ass music!! Who is the composer this time?
If the retail ISO demo is as good as I currently hope it will be, I might buy it at a Steam sale or something..

I knew Crytec will figure out PC teh allright. They did it once, they did it twice why wouldn't they do it for the third time? Just becouse they adapting their engine for consoles? Nah I think Cryteck just likes pushing the grapphic boundries.
Gameplay is another topic...
