Alot of us Updaters have been hanging out in IRC lately, and myself, [mrt], Nalo are curious as to what the interest in IRC is within the forum. The current location at #nforce is anti-forum for some reason, so if interest is high enough we would provide another channel likely within #Efnet as it seems people are unwilling to switch to a better network 
Adding a poll, if you are not/interesting in hanging out and chatting with your fellow humpers on the weekends or such, please vote yay or nay. We'd like to start things up within a week or two, but we'll wait for the majority of voters to get their opinion in.

I would like to mention that if this happens, the IRC channel would be moderated by those that are responsible enough to handle that without going kickban frenzy. Getting into arguements on IRC can get a bit heated, so it's definately no something we want to see, just a more fun place to talk with our fellow humpers. When you can talk back at people that fast, arguements turn into caps lock matches real fast, those eventually dissolve into just calling each other terrible names, so some moderation will be required .. if you have ideas for who you'd like to see do this, feel free to include it.

Heh haven't used IRC in years... Come to think of it, it sucked too; those bastard XDCC bots always cut me off when I left something to download overnight.

Lol Inz, gotta find a decent channel then mate, if you hit the good ones you'll rarely need to go all night. Unless you had the awesome VIP access though you could only set up like 5/114141000 .rar files to download at once ;(

wow it's dead as a retirement home's ex-tennant in the old channels! better make a new one, these are worthless(to me). What's going on in there anyway? Who are all these people? Why are they there? These are the questions I ponder as I lay awake at night.

I have been pushing implementing a JIRC-esque page onto this site so we can all chat in real time. This would be a logical first step towards doing this I guess..

Yeah could work nicely but I think that the whole board needs an overhaul. Upgrade phpbb, so for example we can embed videos.

Nah the only person who's talking (every now and then) is Glottis, and it's usually about some console game...
