EA have taken down the post with the saves in it !! LOL

Trust the cheeky bastards at EA to charge you extra for something that is finished with the game & on the disc.

I paid 70 euros for my CE now i wish i havent bothered, i pay all that money and they want more for a few suits & weapons that just have a few % this and that with a different skin. To top it all off the suits we are allowed to have & earn are bugged so dont show up in the game. 2 weeks on & there`s no sign of a patch & we have all finished the game.

Nice going EA !! wat a way to treat customers.

PC patch announced: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/02/07/visceral-games-hears-disabled-gamer-adding-customizable-control/

Quote:

Dead Space 2 PC Players,

The Dead Space 2 team is aware of the issue that disabled players are having with Dead Space 2 PC. In fact a number of folks on our team are so passionate about getting this fix done that they are currently working hard to allow players to re-map key bindings to the mouse which should help disabled players enjoy the game.

I'd like to say I'm very proud of the people on the Dead Space 2 team for coming in today and jumping on the fix first thing. Working with such a talented and compassionate group of people is incredible and makes me proud to be a part of the Dead Space 2 team, Visceral Games, and Electronic Arts.

In addition to the key binding fix the patch will include other fixes for PC players. Thank you for taking up the cause for our disabled players and letting us know about this problem. Once the patch is fully tested we will announce a release date.

Fuck yeah.

Not sure if that's been posted here, but +1 to the dev's for fixing this issue.

-1 to them for not including key bindings without the patch.

Completed game on Normal, took me almost 13 hours. I tried to check all dark corners, and mostly found some loot at them Smile

At the end of the game I had:
--- Plasma Cutter - fully upgraded (Feels much weaker than fully upgraded PC in DS1)
--- Javelin Gun - fully upgraded (Pure Pwnage Very Happy )
--- Stasis Module - fully upgraded (Life saver )
--- Rig - 2 HP and 1 Air upgrades
--- Line Gun - 1 DMG and 2 CAP upgrades
--- Pulse Rifle - 3 DMG and 3 CAP upgrades

In shops, I spend the first 10 000 of spare credits for ammo and the rest for the power nodes. Exception being, saving for newer suit. I had to constantly buy ammo for the last half of the game due to loot drops changing to almost always cash.

For me Normal was actually quite challenging, Normal in DS2 feels like HARD in DS1.

Last two chapters are shit Sad Constant grinding of incoming waves of necromorphs Vomit But thanks to fully upgraded stasis and shit load of stasis modules, I just run thru most of them Smile

And just like in DS1 assault rifle is the king with the last boss Very Happy

Overall, game play wise DS2 is slightly better than DS1, but much weaker in atmosphere and level design. Only memorable levels in DS2 for me were the "Mining", "Fuel Processing", "Cryo chamber", "Solar array" and "A Blast from the past Wink ". All others felt like a variation of boxes - civilian boxes, medical boxes, storage boxes, etc.

I did the last boss with upgraded Line gun. Lined up the bitch and as much children as I could and then sliced em.

Nice Smile Tried doing similar thing, after being overwhelmed by kids two times while shooting back with assault rifle. But didn't have enough ammo for Line Gun and it wasn't upgraded enough.

But as soon as I found, that kids dissolve with the bitch dying, I just went full frontal assault. Two alt fire grenades and a few more bullets and she is dead. And this is on not fully upgraded rifle without any alt fire grenades upgrades Surprised

I put all my marbles on the assault rifle, and it seriously kicked arse the last levels. But unluckly it felt to much like a ordinary shooter, the way the last 2 chapters was made didn't make it feel better either

I'm sorry, but if you put DLC Already IN THE GAME people who bought it have ALL the Right to unlock it for them self.

it's unbelievable impertinence of some companeis,I can understand the Rage Against Piracy... but that's an outrage.

You took the elevator (way) up so go out of the room and check the new surroundings for a solution to the malfunctional arrays. Smile

EDIT: Or was that another area? I can't fully remember.

EDIT: Oh wait those energy beams later on right, they can be re-positioned as well.
