I'm not a cracker, I'm uploading the normal exe though (EDIT: http://www.multiupload.com/S3KLHH1U50 ) which might be helpful for others outside US territory (Whom have the game or serial or such.), as for the game it runs great and looks quite good though not that different from DS1, faster pacing and better cutscenes as well from what little I've seen so far.

Images:
 Spoiler:

EDIT: And that's mostly all of it, options and settings are mostly as with how they were in the first game (Deferred rendering so AA is a shader effect again for example.) original exe was posted (Not modified in any way, just passed verification.) and some initial game details, not much else to say for now about it. Smile

EDIT: Last minute change to add spoiler tag to images, despite being thumbnails it might be better this way. Smile

Pre-order pickup at EB in OZ 27th. They have it in OZ today, but the 27th is the street date, perhaps that is complicating issues with WW activation etc. Who knows Confused

they seriously need to hire some decent texture artists... the first game had the problem as well... it always strikes me just how lazy the necro design/texturing looks...

I'm confused...Is this game protected by the same scheme as the latest NFS game? According to the NFS Nfo by reloaded, it has Solidshield+Activation (Tages?).

It's the full 17GB Pey, Steam preload is 9 GB but I haven't managed to get the actual files (Can't start even just a preload anymore if your account does not have access/own the software.)

Movie folder can be trimmed since the localization is specified via these folders but it's only about 3 GB, some of those .dat files are also obviously localization specific but I have no idea which ones. unfortunately.

And yeah it might be Tages after all though it looked very similar to SecuROM at first what with the date check and such on the exe and then Solidshield activation.

Can't say much about the textures, I feel it looks similar to the first game though which by now is a bit dated so yeah you'll see low-resolution work now and then, the coat on that NPC for example or the gore details on the necromorphs as you mentioned, unfortunate but the lighting and shadowing is improved in turn which helps visuals a bit. Smile

EDIT: Yes! that seems exactly like it Maul_inc, all the way with custom login information for EA accounts and that. (Unlocked the plasma cutter via DS1 save, can't access hacker suit since that mini-game was only on X360 though from what I've read it was pretty bad.)

Reloaded should release it in no time if that´s the case. Nail´d has the same protection [SolidShield 2 + Activation] and it also uses a registry key to validate the game, the games didnt even need a cracked update when patches were release -both for nail´d and nfshp.

So like you say Reloaded will nail this too some time today.

Yes, also actually NFS was first cracked by P2P before RLD..

I just started with the game but how I meant that statement in comparison to Dead Space 1 was that DS1 began rather slowly and then surprised you and you spent the first part building up ammo, items and weapons along with weaker enemies attacking now and then but you usually took it slow and carefully went trough the tram initiation sequence.

Here it's a bit of a rush with various enemies (Scripted.) appearing and attacking with you being forced to speed trough the area until you get a small moment of breathing room and the first save checkpoint, both games are somewhat similar here though.

It does however not feel like you are very slow or clunky anymore (Though the suit is different as is the environment.) but that might change as well.

EDIT: Not that good at explaining but perhaps a bit similar to the start of Resident Evil compared to Resident Evil 2 being more direct and having you feel more alert and struggling?

EDIT: Settings.txt still used and Game.Played = 1 can be set to start directly at the most difficulty level. Smile

EDIT: Control.AimAssistEnabled = false can also be set.

EDIT: Gamma tweak (-0.1 instead of 0.5) was also set (Might still have effect.) and custom resolution (A form of SSAA.)

EDIT: Depending on personal preferences but I found the gamma tweak to work nicely here as well, unlocking extra difficulty levels did not but that's just a minor issue.

Since when is textures ever replaced? I can't think of any situation where it has happened at least in any modern game though AF has helped in many cases with the distant texture blur (Consoles use 4x or some such.) and AA is impossible due to the game engine (Extended DX9 functionality for XBox360 apparently allows a form of 2X AA however though not very good.)

EDIT: As to be a bit more precise I do not see it as just a straight port, framerate isn't capped, controls can be customized, settings can be fine tuned and it supports numerous resolutions and aspect ratios plus with SSAA and MLAA that problem can be worked around easily. Smile
(And it runs at close to 100 FPS, better than the first game.)

Here is AC2: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=24868805&postcount=17

Isn't that just due to the resolution increase consolitis plus that no blur AA or similar is used for smoothing the framerate/feel of the game?

I could be wrong though so I'll keep looking for comparisons and similar to be more certain about this.
(Original art assets are normally very high resolution, same with polygon models for normal mapping work and similar so it's not like it can't be done to use those or parts of those instead or anything.)

EDIT: Mip-mapping also counts somewhat come to think of it and might explain it (And would mean the PC edition has better textures even with very little work done.), medium texture quality with the first texture base skipped so half-resolution instead of full resolution for example. Smile

EDIT: Nice, that MW2 is a great example, but as to just debate a bit (And this following is probably incorrect.) it could also be due to how it runs at sub 720P resolution (Unsure about specifics but I know it's been covered.) and is scaled/stretched up and thus blurred due to that process and post processing effects to mask this.
