I really want to play all of LucasArts' adventure games but the fiddle with dosbox whatnot have discouraged me :/ though might give it a go again, now that the scummVM has been ported to the idevices.

Very Happy

Probably my favorite adventure game, even ranking above the Monkey Island games (I played DOTT before them so it gets the nostalgia bonus).

I have a confession to make...

I did play DotT but I don't adore it. I love adventures and LucasArts adventures have a special place in my heart but I found DotT to be flawed gameplaywise.
You have three characters that need to interchange items to solve puzzles. A lot of them are based on crazy humor and require you to try using all objects you have on all available hotspots until something funny happens. So far business as usual, but due to the three characters mechanic you need to give all objects to each character to try them out all over the game world. This requires you to walk to the time machine and back to a new hotspot with all characters dozens of times to swap items for the trial and error gameplay.

I ended up looking into a FAQ a lot, not because trying all combinations is too difficult but because the walking to the time machines and swapping items back and forth takes too much time.

Yeah it took a walktrough to get trough the Leisure Suit Larry compilation (Game 1 to 6 with 6 being the low-res version unfortunately, still fun though.) and then again to find all easter-eggs (Nudity secrets and "hidden dildo") in Larry 7. Very Happy

Only played some of the Lucas Arts titles though mostly the classics, Loom, Monkey Island 1 - 4 (Plus the recent Telltale episodes.) and Day of The Tentacle (Floppy version with the original on it as a side mission on a computer in the game.)

EDIT: And a few of the Indiana Jones titles.

Speaking of good LucasArts games - anyone else in love with Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis?
