|
 |
fucks sake, i was idling with my family during xmas time and everything was fine. and then suddenly when we have made plans for an epic new years party with good friends i suddenly fall ill with a quite high fever, basically making it so that i wouldnt survive it if an epic party was to take place at my place.
so now the friends who had planned to come here have to go elsewhere, and i pretty much have to stay home drinking tea or some shit since theres no way any pills will make me feel good enough to have a party.
and well depending on how long the illness lasts my plans for the start of the year will be fucked over as well, or at least will be most uncomfortable.

It happened to me too a couple of years ago, not as dramatic as it might sound though, considering that NYE is overrated anyway.
( Generally I'm a supporter of Mortibus' theory )

Many people genuinely think a "new year" is something magical. I never understood that theory. Nothing magical has happened as of yet. Still waiting though. I'll keep you guys posted just in case.

The magic happens only into the wallets of shopkeepers and clubs and discos' managers

its just another day.. or should I say, another day for those that have lack of control to go cause trouble once more other than a clubbing night with masses of drink thrown down ones throat..

its not that about the new years as a special time, its more about the new years party that we had planned, hanging out and drinking with friends i havent seen for a long while

Hmm I guess I'm the lamest asshole on this forum then, because NYE really is something special to me. All my friends get together, which almost never happens these days (if you're unimpressed you're probably still in school. Wait a few years. Full time jobs, marriage and kids will break out like the fucking beubonic plague, taking many of your friends' social lives). Everybody is happy. Good food, loose women, cigars and champagne. For me it's a guaranteed good time, and that is special.
