Congrats on the new toy Nouse, as a fellow iPhone 4 user I have a few app to recommend (I'll skip the games since we already have plenty with that in the handheld section)
Sbsettings (a widget which can be activated with any gesture you desire, contains brightness control, shutdown options, enabling disable 3g, edge, wifi etc. Jailbreak app
Find my iPhone, recently it went free for all iphone users, enables you to track down, wipe, or display a message on your iphone from a computer in case it gets stolen, also recently I used this while being absolutely stone and couldnt find my phone, so i went to my pc and made my iphone play a sound and bang it was in my closet
iMDb, It's goot a great layout and contrary to the android version an actual search field on the app's homescreen.
Cyanide & Happiness, The entire Cyanide & Happiness archive on your iPhone.
Get a music streaming app, personally I use Grooveshark to stream music directly to my iphone which saves me alot of space (also got the 16 gb model  ) but there are a bunch - http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/top_5_streaming_music_apps_for.php
ComicZeal, simply the best comic reader on iOS, works well and simple and supports the wellknown scene formats cbz, cbr etc.
Netflix, well its netflix on the iphone nothing more, nothing less

And also OpenSSH, the various cmd packages (you can even compile on the iphone with GCC!! ), Terminal for iOS 4.
