None of the above.
Last I checked, the 850csi over in Europe is very cheap right now. IMO, it is the best car they have ever built besides the M1. I'd also say it is the best looking car they have ever put out.
Here in the US the 850csi is worth $40 grand-ish right now. When I last checked, they were selling for around 15000 GBP-ish over in the UK. $25 grand for a limited production, 400HP/400TQ V12 GT is very good. When that car came out in the US it cost $130 grand. It de-valued like a rock due to being basically unknown, but it is gaining value again due to the fact that it will (And to some extent allready has) become a true classic car.
Anyways, when I get over to the UK in a month I plan on selling my Mazdaspeed3 and getting a RHD 850CSI. (Due to how cheap they are right now, and the extra rarity of the RHD model)
To be frank, I think all the newest generation BMW's are shit compared to the stuff BMW used to offer. The new cars aren't a 'drivers car'. The old ones definatly are though. Be it the 850CSI, the prior generation M3/M5's, and the limited production S54 MCoupe.. The old BMW's are MUCH better cars, and they can be had for fairly cheap right now.
Pick them up before they gain value..

13mpg combined, 19 on the highway. IMO, not bad for what it is. I'd have no problem with the increased fuel costs considering how cheap you can get an 850csi anyways.

I guess to each their own.
I don't even know where you got that Toyota comment from. The car looks nothing like a Toyota, and the M1 itself was designed to look like the Italian cars from the period. (A lot more reliable then any Italian car ever made though, and more comfortable for the driver)
That said, I think you'll find yourself in the minority when it comes to the M1 and 850's. The classic BMW look is outstanding.
And BMW never good at designing cars? I hope you are joking. The M1 is an oustanding car, as is almost every sportier car BMW has ever put out. Audi's stuff is OK, but Audi has never made a M1, an 850CSI, a S54 MCoupe, .. All the prior gen M3's and M5's..
Audi has made some fine cars, but in terms of cars that an enthusiast like myself would love to drive and own.. They don't come close. I can only think of a few particular examples from Audi that I would like to own.
That said, I think the latest generation Audi's are better cars. (BMW doesn't make drivers cars anymore) The older stuff though - No way.

You are blind if you think that looks like the M1 or 850CSI.
And if that is honestly your argument, the M1 came out far before the 3rd gen Supra came out.
And to be frank, you'd have to be batshit crazy to want any Supra generation over the M1.
So the troll face is fairly apt; You've got to be trolling now.

Well it borrows some of it's design from the times testarossa and lamborghinis... so yes, italian sport cars.
