nope I do not think so. I max out my connection daily and it never messes with my cable.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one

It's also using your electricity! Be sure to not cook anything while downloading, or it might mess up your meal

It's quite handy, actually. You can immediately watch what you are downloading on your TV, without the need for another device. Just make sure not to turn on channel 101 when downloading porn, or it will show right up on your TV.

Did you ever wonder how, when you talk on your telephone, 1000 other ppl are doing the same, how is it that their voices (now electrical signals) never get lost along the way or mix up with yours (they are traveling on few cables)?
That's called principle of superposition It's the key of electrodynamics and quantum physics
"Quantum mechanics is actually, contrary to it's reputation, unbeliveably simple, once you take the physics out."

His question is valid. If the cable company limits your speed to 5mbps, and that 5 mbps is shared between digital TV and internet, then your connection could slow down. However this won't happen with cable internet as the two signals are separate. It can happen if you use some other digital TV service that uses the internet directly though.
