I noticed not getting any notifications by email, so I checked my provider's spamfilter. The mail server's HELO was denied, it identifies itself as 'www' Wink

Also, the sender was listed as nobody@www.nforce.nl Razz

Yes, the email notifications are sent from PHP, because that's what the forum runs on and because PHP runs in apache, its a nobody. Unspam us!

I would, but an incorrect HELO is not related to Apache nor PHP, and that prevents me from marking the email address as safe - which can still be set correctly in PHP Wink

www is not a valid FQDN, which means that the server either has a faulty hostname set, or whatever mail daemon handles SMTP does it wrong. It should be reporting nfohump.com or with any number of subdomains below it.

It's not uncommon btw, most spamfilters completely block an email completely when the sending SMTP server doesn't EHLO/HELO correctly Smile

Awesome, I'll activate notifications on a useless void thread to test it <3

It didn't actually block the site or server as a sender btw, it only blocked the actual message Smile
