If you have proper winter tyres (studded preferably) and ABS you have a better chance. Full braking or throttling is the opposite of what you should do, and most of the tards in those videos seem to brake, locking their wheels basically removing the last little bit of grip there may be.
It's obvious its massively downhill. I'm pretty sure they show news footage from that road pretty much every year because you are FUCKED if you go down it when its iced up.
Had to drive home today in some pretty greasy stuff, was good out on the highway..still took allmost 2 hours, though :E

Some of those wrecks looked brutal, not sure if it was just a flash freeze so they weren't going slow enough, or the hill was iced over enough to pick up their speed that bad
This is really a government fuckup. They should have closed off these streets until salt & sand have been dispersed. I bet they get this kind of crashes every year.
