So last night there was a power outage.
Now I power up my PC and Skype opens up a tour, and at the end of it it has a new look and/or version.
And I'm like who the fuck gave you permission to update?!
How did it update itself??
I know it's USA's spyware, but wtf?
programs usually tell there's a new version and ask you if you want to update..

Skype is mystery to me, like what are they developing? From where are they making their money? Private enterprise solutions? Because the commercial software sucks so much ass, i can't belive that program with that big of userbase has so fucking shitty UI and UX. It's like 1 man is developing it. I can't wait for something better to come by and get adopted by mainstream, because skype deserves to get crushed for its slowass and shitty development.

Microsoft bought Skype, in favor of the NSA.
Skype used to be p2p so it was very hard to sniff, you had to attack it using man in the middle method.
So after they bought it, first thing they did was drop the p2p part and all communications now go through servers so that they can easily be read.
Also they make money by people buying skype credit/phone services, (which they also listen to).
The ads you can disable in the options.

I think you can only disable targeted ads, not all of them ...
