They keep repeating the same (silly) stuff over and over since when the game was announced for the first time. Apparently this marketing strategy works very well on derps
I thought I'd mention that we just had 20 or so journaists from around the world (Germany, US, UK, Australia, etc) here at the BioWare studios for a big session of hands on gameplay and interviews with theDragon Age II Dev team. They're done now and on their way back home to write their articles and previews of Dragon Ager II, but later this month you should be seeing a heap of new information.
They were given the game. Not the demo some of you played this past summer, but the game it's self and allowed to play from the start of the game onwards. While the game isn't finished yet, it is definitely coming together (the press know we're still polishing it up), so they were given access to whatever they wanted like which class they wanted to try, character creation, etc and allowed to play in between their interviews.
I don't know what they are going to write about, whether they liked the game or not, whether they liked coming to Edmonton in -20 degree weather (the poor Australian woman looked to be in shock) or whathaveyou, but I can say that it looked to me like they were enjoying it. Many times I saw them react by laughing, in shock, anger, etc at what they were experiencing (in the good way). So we'll see what they say in their previews.

What i want know is. WHEN DO WE GET TO WATCH PC GAMEPLAY....
"Sometimes when you do things right, people are not sure you've done anything at all." -- God (Futurama)
Never cause it won't be any different than the console gameplay.
Early snip from every preview.

Great combat, reminds us of Dynasty Warriors and God of War. Something that's been missing from RPGs for years! When we pushed a button, something awesome happened!
Amazing dialog choice-system where you're really surprised what your character say! It's so amazing!
The graphics were so bad in the first with the low res textures(none of them played the PC version) and now they're awesomely stylized.
No stupid different armors for your followers means a much more streamlined and therefore better experience.
We liked what we saw in the preview and if it's anything to go by the next Dynasty.. err Dragon Age will be even more amazing since this one isn't even a RPG anymore and the next one will probably be full on Dynasty Warriors, something that's buggered us with the RPG genre for a long time!
Finally the Action.. err RPG genre has evolved to something much better! Hopefully they will get rid of those pesky stats and annoying inventories altogether in the next one.

Thankfully it won't be genre defining and we will still get normal cRPG like Drakensang and Two Worlds.

Ya,it was posted before....it's even on this page.
crpg like drakensang and two worlds? You got THAT from the video? :/
All I heard was "press a button, something something happens" and saw Mass effect style gameplay with the same dialogue interface....it's a FAR CRY from drakensang and two worlds imo.
Ammo needing swords could be introduced into the game without breaking an immersion by making a dark spawn blood to slowly transform weapons into rubber. This way, after slaying a few dark spawns, such weapons will need to be cleaned with a disposable single-use towels soddened with a magick elexir
The guys at Play.tm recently went hands-on with Dragon Age II, and have since conjured up a quick preview of BioWare's RPG sequel. In it, they break down the game's button-pressing awesomeness:
Quote:
Targeting Hayder himself, we put BioWare's "press a button and something awesome happens" mantra to the test, pressing X, Y or B to mix up the special attacks. These abilities gradually recharge over time, so unleashing them at the right moment is key to a good strategy. While you're waiting for these moves to recharge, you're able to hammer the A button for a volley of sword swipes, which you can intersperse with a lethal special.
You can also tap A with a direction for an evasive roll, which is handy when you're surrounded by enemies. And with Hayder's obedient minions quickly surrounding our party, managing Hawke's attacks while your AI buddies pitch in is integral in finishing off the battle with aplomb. Isabela and Varric deal with the lackeys and start chaining together attacks upon the ringleader, as we dig in with as many special moves as possible.
Pressing X executes an explosive roundhouse kick and sword slash, B is a devious backstab move, which is devastating at close-quarters and finally, Y gives Hawke some extra breathing room as he performs an evasive backflip that's perfect for when the action is getting too intense. Combining these actions is a key aspect in Dragon Age II's combat and tactics.
Sounds like a normal RPG combat only in third person to me. "recharge" is cooldown time, "press button" is press hotkey for ability and "mash A" is click mouse button to do standard attack.

Yeah, I guess from an action rpg aspect. But I mean, the same issue will probably follow on the PC.
We will only be able to bind 3 moves, and have a click fest for regular attack.
That dosent sound like it will have a wide varity of tactics to me, i could be wrong.
