All in all, the left side of my face is kind of paralyzed Laughing

I got it when it got windy as hell in Poland, an area below my left ear started to hurt, I thought it was nothing.

The next morning, I couldn't hold the coffee in my mouth because it started to leak out of it. Laughing

Just went to the neurologist, turns out I have a Bell's palsy, a pretty common thing though it can lead to a paralysis if not cured quickly, so good thing I went to the hospital, lol.

Thankfully my left side is not numb, I can feel touch, warmth etc. Smile

I have to take an injection in buttcheeks for 10 days though Sad AND I can't take my driving lessons because the medicine I'm on makes my blood pressure lower and makes me sleepy.

And I can't whistle! Sad

Actor Jamey Sheridan is known to have bell's palsy. He has even appeared in the TV show Law & Order Criminal Intent with a disfigured face and an eye patch. Smile

What? No Laughing I got it because it was windy as hell in Poland and I was walking without a cap or scarf, so my nerve near the left ear got "broken".

Please don't make such retarded statements. You obviously had a latent infection of some neuropathic virus (probably of the Herpes family) that was stimulated by the cold and subsequently triggered inflammation of the facial nerve. But it's not contagious...

Your nerve did not 'got broken' by the wind, KTHXBAI.

From the Wikipedia article...
Quote:
Some viruses are thought to establish a persistent (or latent) infection without symptoms, e.g. the Zoster virus of the face[5] and Epstein-Barr viruses, both of the herpes family. Reactivation of an existing (dormant) viral infection has been suggested[6] as cause behind the acute Bell's palsy. Studies[7] suggest that this new activation could be preceded by trauma, environmental factors, and metabolic or emotional disorders, thus suggesting that stress - emotional stress, environmental stress (e.g. cold), physical stress (e.g. trauma) - in short, a host of different conditions, may trigger reactivation.

I don't understand 100%, it is very confusing but they mention that there has to be a virus first... No virus = no Bell's Palsy. I do not believe someone can just walk around when it is windy and get Bell's Palsy. But yeah, hope you find a cure or something.

Dude, it's not retarded. I don't have, nor DIDN'T EVER HAVE Herpes zoster or Herpes simplex virus. I was tested for all these and the results were NEGATIVE. The neurologist(you know, the fucking DOCTOR that dedicated his life to study nerves and stuff) said that it's a very mild case of Bell's palsy and the MOST PROBABLE CAUSE is that I sat by an open window when it was windy (and it WAS like that, I have an open window 90% of the time in my room).

Besides, I'd rather trust a doctor then than a random person on the internet. KTHXBAI.

I think so, though my face muscles work perfectly now, you really can't see anything. Don't know why I'm going for the therapy, but then again I went to a private clinic so I guess it's for the best.

Nope, unfortunately Bell's palsy is only for your face. Sad

Well, you can always perform autofellatio if Bell's palsy is double-sided Cool Face

Got it AGAIN! On the right side this time Laughing And it's far milder than the previous case, I can still move my eyebrows, still can kind of whistle, but now it's like I can't taste anything on the right side of my tongue. Laughing

Going to a neurologist today.

And yeah, as you can probably guess, it was windy as hell and I didn't have a cap or scarf on neither. Laughing
