Been having trouble with my lynksys router last few days.
When i try loading web pages it takes forever so something is defiantly up with the setting?
As when i try it with the modem only, it's lightning quick.
I've tried restarting my router and modem and when it's finally back up.
Everything is upto speed untill i stay on or gop on a few more sites then it suddenly slows right down the these crappy speeds I'm getting?
Any ideas please as It's annoying a hell this.
What settings should i change?
It's a 'wired' router btw, not wireless.
Is the issue only with webpages? I have this same problem at the office on our router, for some reason connections over port 80 seem to crawl, but normal downloads can still go at normal speed. Don't have a solution..but you can cry on my shoulder
I used to have this problem with mine as well. Turns out my modem has it's own "router" stuff in it that was conflicting with my linksys. buddy had me do a bunch of stuff to my router through commands and ended up disabling the login stuff of the modem so it only pulled in my internet conenction and that was it, after doing that browsing about my router was a lot faster too.
Was something a long the lines of disabling the Network Address Translation with the modem and setting up the auth in the router.
