Are you even aware that your GFX is limiting your CPU? Just asking.

It is a cool story cause its true lol Very Happy

The return back and forth to the card and gpu when offloading memory etc will be fubard, that I7 is just too fast for the 8800 im afraid, ull have to suck it up till you get the proper card back in your system..

There are tools you can run in cmd window style to test the throughputs but you probably shit bricks when you see the gpu to cpu ones Very Happy

Could be possible that you never heard about it. Since you're still on this combination.

If your bios has HPET turn it off that may help a little, does with dual cores and can remove the slight stuttering issues in the fallout games. The only loss is about 1 or 2 frames/ps but thats nothing really..

might as well just use on-board video or something

guess someone should've kept 480 and added some decent cooling to it Razz

then again it's tc, where logic is absent Laughing

Really, no offense. Since I looked at your SIG, you got a pretty nice Rig there. But the 8800GT is totally out of place. And I think that's why it's not in it Very Happy

Well, in my humble opinion it's shitty game. I don't even have to try, just aim in general position of enemy and fire. Magic bullets do the rest. Cinematic and spectacular though but the rest is just pure derpiness. (I'm talking of course about SP).

Btw, could be that there is Autoaim? In SP I had this feeling very often and it pretty much looked like it from time to time. Since I didn't find any option to turn it off, I guessed there is none. But I'm still not convinced. (Deleted it already after I finished it)

Ah well, I didn't know that. But that would be an explanation. I was just confused about the combination.

Are you forgetting what game engine we're talking about here? What amazing advancements has Treyarch added since Modern Warfare 2 which I'm sure he can max out with zero lag. Game is just shitty unoptimized console crap.

No, I'm not forgetting that this is still the Q3 engine (it is, isn't it?). But I didn't see the amazing advancements from MW1 to MW2 too. So...

And I agree that the game is shitty console shovelware, like I said 2 times before.

Seems like your Eyes are limited to 10fps then so everything is fluid for you because you don't know better.

I wouldn't call it DERP because I know there are people that really can't see the difference between 30 and 60 fps. For me it's a phenomenon I encounted countless times back in 2001-2005, when I were into E-Sports. I can see the difference but some don't. At least they told me so in a trustworthy manner.

Test it out. (If someone wants to)

Motions are just more fluent with 60fps. But that's not why it was Important to me back then. Was important for aiming and hit-detection etc.

Today I'm happy about 30+ fps. But I still favor constant 60fps of course. Because of the fluence in motions. Another important factor is the Input-Lag of your Display. But that's another story.

A 88800Gt is still good, but facing it's limits with resolutions of 1680*1050 or above WITH AA on. I really doubt this card will be a problem for this game. IMO AA is a feature for SP games, no need to turn it on in MP, but if you have the extrapower, just go for it.

The only recent games where i dont have constant 50-60+ fps are BC2, Black Ops (well its broken), ArmA, and few more
So at least first try it and then talk about it.

U dont need 100-200+ fps lock in sp games lol

Psssst, I had one myself. I'm just telling ya because I don't think you know. How should you.
And it's still my business if I would need 100-200fps. Gladly I don't. I'm fine with 30+fps (But still favoring steady 60fps over 30). I wasn't back then in 2001-2005 because of E-Sports matters.
But keep lying to yourself... we both know that this card is getting to it's limits now if you play on 1680x1050.

(1000fps are looking beautiful)
