|
 |
The first details have been revealed:
Quote: |
Sledgehammer Games is currently at work on Call Of Duty 8, which is due to arrive next year. And a Twitter post from a studio exec has teased the very first details of what we can expect.
Studio co-founder Glen Schofield has leaked that the next Call of Duty game will feature situations encountered by real military soldiers - or at least inspired by them.
"Working w/ military guys- their stories will blow you away. Names/locations will change but some situations going in the game- real stuff!" he Tweeted today.
Sledgehammer Games is headed up by ex-Visceral Games employees Schofield and Michael Condrey, who left EA's Dead Space team to work on CoD titles for Activision.
And Schofield's CoD-based Tweeting today referenced his past glories, too:
He added: 'Picking composers 4 the game. Fun stuff, think we found a great fit. Audio will b better than what we did on Dead Space.'
A bold claim indeed.
Sledgehammer's Call Of Duty game will be an 'adventure FPS' spin-off from the CoD series - and shouldn't affect the arrival of Infinity Ward's 'proper' next entry in the franchise in 2011.
Some have rumoured that the Sledgehammer's Dead Space heritage may mean it's tackling CoD: Space Warfare.
Treyarch is set to release Call of Duty: Black Ops in November, they recently described the game as 'classic Call of Duty'.

Wow, they're really milking this franchise for all it's worth. Three developers for a single series? Amazing.

its just about something else different to look at always has been and is with most games no matter what it is, its like having a new girlfriend, slightly diff mound sizes to rub hands over, tastes abit diff at times better worse etc, but at end of day ur still putting ur dick into the same cavern.

This is what happens when you have people who blindly buy anything that's dangled in front of them. $60 game? Sure I'll buy that. Over-priced map packs? Give me all that you have. They have learned that all you have to do is slap a COD tag on it and people will pay any price for it.

Thats how EA works too....put a C&C title on the games that are not even related to C&C (C&C4 is a sample of it)

Jesus Christ, someone assassinate Kotick already. Three studios to milk one franchise? Not even EA did this in their bad days. I really despise Activision now, they do the same shit to Guitar Hero which I used to love. How or why Blizzard merged with them... nobody knows.

Well the quicker they suck out each of their IPs dry, the sooner they will crash and burn.

Meh... they should make a game were you start off as a prisoner and you have to fight your way back out of enemy territory finding and rescue some teammates on the way.

Yes I am . I am staring to black cat and laughing my ass...and yes , CALL OF DUTY promotes "super uber" birtish/american marines , wich have strong "male bondage" ,and they are kinda homosexual. I rather play as blackwater mercenary.

Call of Duty: Space Ops next year
Quote: | Newly-formed Activision studio Sledgehammer is working on a futuristic Call of Duty instalment set in SPACE, according to a fresh report.
Gamasutra sources claim Sledgehammer, run by Visceral game exiles Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, are working on a CoD instalment "set in the future" and featuring "space Marines".
Of course, these aren't the first whispers we've heard of the FPS series heading to the stars. Earlier this year Activision registered domains for "Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Advanced Warfare, Secret Warfare and Space Warfare".
It's previously been rumoured that all Call of Duty games set in the present and future come under Infinity Ward's jurisdiction (thus the 60s setting for Black Ops) so we're a bit confused.
Who wants laser guns in their CoD then? |
Poor cow, her milk is such in great demand.
