It defeats the purpose of a laptop in my opinion; which is a mobile computer you can take with you everywhere, meaning even where theres no power outlet immediately available.
Something like this will just eat up power and have a battery life of nill.
My opinion can thus be summed up in one describing word "Meh"

Well, it's still better for lans than taking apart your whole setup. Buddy has a nice laptop, when we lan he just opens up his bag, puts laptop on table, plug in Ac, turn on, were ready to go
vs
cramming all your expensive stuff into your car, then trying to unpack it, then setting it all back up
but ya, I don't even think that thing should come with a battery lol, it'd be pointless. Unless they did a super awesome cool n quiet like thing (no idea what it's called for intel) where everything gets downclocked for normal usage

something like that popped into my mind also. That thing must be HOT!

What the fuck at that, haha
You're better off building that shit into a small case yourself, save a load of cash and still be almost as portable

From the review you posted:
Code: | Nvidia’s failure is that its $800 GeForce GTX 480M is neither more efficient nor more powerful than the $130 desktop GeForce GTS 450 ... uses a power brick that’s larger than a red facing brick, and has a combined weight greater than that of most bowling balls |

Except for the 5300+ dollars and the 17 pounds of weight it's a nice laptop

Having a laptop in your lap (nukes your balls so you become sterile/crappy spermcount) is one of the reasons dumb people are outnumbering the smart people in this world.
