My current wireless adapter on my pc is shit so I was planning to buy a new one. Dont even start suggesting a cable :<. Its not an option for me due to the way my house is built. Currently I have a trendnet USB adapter but its limiting my connection to about 650kb/sec. I should have max 1.2mb/sec. As I understand PCI adapter should be better. Can you suggest me something simple but effective that doesnt limit the speed I can have? Also I wouldnt want to spend a ton on this.

Me too, my notebook has a Gigabyte wireless adapter and it's fucking fast, I can download with 2,5MB/s from my neighbours cable Cool Face

But my computer with this piece of shit netgear usb adapter reaches ... 50kb/s and drops the connection ALL THE FUCKING TIME!

Warning you now, USB adapters are ONLY for web browsing, that's it. They're shit, useless and a waste of money.

jeez, I didn't even read the post lmao, I just had an issue with this with a friend that was using a usb adapter, took me 3 hours to redo the network in the house cause computers that only play farmville were on cable while every other computer that games is on wireless Neutral

You'll want wireless N, g is only 54Mbps, n is 300, assuming your router or modem broadcasts such

Hook up a WiFI ROUTER (not USB key) and bridge it to the existing wifi Router. I did these when my crap USB WIFI key sucked. Using a Linksys and Netgear in bridge mode. Never had an issue since.

Can I use it as a bridge? I tried messing around with it using some vague guides, but cant seem to get it to work.

Most of the time when fussing around with the settings at some point the router ip didnt work anymore and i couldnt access settings anymore. So i was forced to reset settings from a button on the router.
