IMO? No. Not a chance. The Corsair VX450 has a lot more power under the hood than advertised.. and, more importantly for any PSU, the amperage on the +12v rail. You need a lot more than 16A to power a GTX460, bud.

Well I expected that. Any advice for upgrade (PSU or another GPU)?

Thanks!
I'll send him a PM soon if he doesn't notice this thread himself.

lol @ Sabin :$
Hardly inexhaustible
Anyway, I'm surprised your 8800GT survived for so long on just 16A, that's pretty damn low. Even the 8800 needs a good 11.5A, so 16A for the 8800 + all the other shit hooked up to the 12v rail is pretty darn low.
As for PSU suggestions, the Corsair VX450 mentioned by Sabin is a ridiculously well built unit and that will do for your needs. Should be around €50-55. You could optionally go for something like Be Quiet!'s L7 430, which is €8-10 cheaper, but also delivers a good 50W less across its 12v rails. OCZ's StealthXtream/ModXtream 500W would also suffice, but my choice would be the VX 450.
It's a Seasonic build, can deliver 396W on its 12v rail (that's 88% of its rated power, exceptional for a unit of that magnitude) and it's pretty quiet too. Between 400W and 500W there is simply no match for the VX450 in value

Assuming that I get the VX450, for how long you suppose it will suffice. It would be nice if I can also use it with whatever GPU I will get after the GTX 460. Oh and the 8800GT lasted for 2 years and five monts.
EDIT: How do Corsair VX550 and CX600 fare against the VX450 considering they cost around the same where I live.

<3 pwerelds
I'm still loving my VX450, this baby continually surprises me on just how efficient and powerful it is. Power requirements on cards (GTX470/480 aside) actually DROP over the years, so newer cards shouldn't be too much of a hassle for the VX450. I've been running a massively OCed dual core, 4GB RAM, six HDDs, one burner, a bunch of USB devices *and* my Radeon 4780-1G -- so it's definitely got the power to cope. Later cards like the 5xxx and 6xxx Radeons (and the GTX460 from nV) have LOWER power requirements.
If you can get the VX550 for the same price; DO IT! Same Seasonic build and well worth getting.

Actually, the VX550 is a CWT build
Still a solid unit though, handles 8A more on its 12v rail, for a total of 492W so that's pretty powerful as well, 89% of its rated power
CX series are inferior to the VX450/550, so they're definitely the better choice. And as Sabin says, video card requirements are getting lower, at least for AMD cards

Well now I can't decide between the two. So in your opinion which has the better value if they cost the same?

Nothing wrong with CWT per se, most of Corsair's units are CWT and they're pretty solid. Seasonic is just the Lenovo in PSUs
@ neeger93: VX550 is fine mate, it's just a bit more noisy and it gives you a tiny bit more headroom
