Is it possible to add teh Explorer perk via console? If so, will it screw up the game in any way.
I have a problem with ED-E. Even though I ask it to leave, I think the game still thinks it's in my party. I can't ask anyone else to join since the party is 'full'

No you need to know the quest's ID and the stage you want to set it to. As for npc's, even if you can't see them you can still target them with the prid command (again you need the ID) and then resurrect.
The only real way is to read up on these commands ( http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Console is one place to start), get and learn how the GECK works (to check the necessary ID's), it's pretty hard for someone else to know what you need to do / give you the exact command strings needed. |
Awesome! Thanks for the help!

One thing i was wondering (regarding NCR heavy troops)
Spoiler: | Where did they get the Power Armour training? As it's apparently not a piece of armor you just put on becaus you feel like it. And seeing as the NCR and the BoS don't like each other very much I really wonder where they got the training |
|
Spoiler: | Some NCR guy (at McCarran probably) specifically said they've stripped the servos (or something like that, wasn't paying that much attention ) out of them so that they don't need special training to wear. In fact, if you kill the heavy troopers they have a 'No Power Armor training required' text on them, but they give -2 AGI too, without +STR/+Rad Res. that proper PA's have. |
Jury Rigging is a bit too good - you can make some serious dough from grabbing crappy weapons everywhere you can find and using them to fix better weapons that fall into same category. I had loads of 9mm pistols (that don't sell for squat even with maxed CND) that I used to repair 12 10mm SMG's into pristine condition. Same with Varmint rifles => Hunting rifles and so on. Made a few trips selling them all off and now my chest is chock-full of all the expensive ammo types, more than I'll ever need.

I'm still early on in this game, is the NCR cash meant to be spent somewhere or should I just trade it for caps. Maybe the casinos use it later? Can you trade with it at NCR outposts or something?
edit: Same question with the pre-war money.

Wow!
Vault 34...
Spoiler: | Has some pretty nice equipment in armory. All-American unique autosniper, buch of "big guns", some armors, etc...
I guess getting irradiated so much really pays off at the end. Best vault loot ever (compared to F3 Vaults). |

You can indeed trade it in for chips at the casino's, that doesn't count for pre-war money as far as I have seen.

Hmm, maybe I'll just sell it off then, less inventory clutter. Game is great, love taking my time, micromanaging and all that.

I saw somebody mention in here about gambling at the vicki & vance casino. Well, they mentioned trading chips there at least. Isn't that the casino in Primm? I couldn't find anything to do in there once I cleared out the town and "found" a sheriff. Or does the gambling come later?

Dl the prima games guide.. and if you don't want to spoil yourself then just head over to the appendix pages. All the consequences of your possible actions are detailed over there.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

but the best there to get thing is ....
Spoiler: |
the Vault 34 security armor. looks weak but is the best light armor in the game. and since its rather worthless (in terms of caps) its rather cheap to repair. only 100-200 caps to repair it to full state. compare it to the prices of combat armor. Finally times are over where you have to spend thousands of caps into reapiring armor. better buy with the spared caps the protection implant at the clinic

Finished the game with 74 hours in the final save. I did anything and everything I could possibly find to do, explored every area with the explorer perk.
Spoiler: |
Ended up at lvl30 with the advanced power armor, unique sniper, unique minigun and unique super sledgehammer. The ending was about as good as it could possibly be for everyone except the NCR and Legion, and poor Raul for not finding his purpose in life, and Veronica who's Brotherhood I killed off. I drove off or dispersed every raider faction in the game and got the best ending for every little town mentioned in the slides.

Try visiting the casino again.
Spoiler: | There'll be some deserters there, after you deal with them the casino will open up for business eventually. |

I want to ask you guys, why I can't see on the MAP or in the Quests TAB, other quests, not only the main one. Is this a feature of the game ? Or is something from the crack or other things?
Thanks

The crack is fine - are you just starting out or? What quests have you gotten so far?

Anyone found a solution to having companions' voices following you around even though you sent them away?
I have stupid Cass complaining about her injuries every few minutes and she's supposed to be back at her "home" location. I'm considering killing her but I don't even know if that would solve this issue. Plus, I still have what I expect to be a fairly lengthy quest from her I want to do.

What I really like about this game is that it does not make finding quests TOO easy. There are no figures with blinking question marks over their head or other silly features, instead you have no idea where starting a dialogue with a NPC may lead to. Either meaningless chitchat or triggering a quest. Using speech or other skills may lead to completely different results. Thats really something I missed in the tendency of streamlining games for mass-appeal. Good to see that its still possible to create such a deep RPG experience.
