Contrary to what most news organizations have been reporting there were in fact 34 Chilean miners. This man, Gregorio Zapata is indeed number 34. After being freed from their subterranean prison rescued miner #2, Mario Sepulveda shocked rescuers when he told them of a 34th man in the hole. On day 3 of their ordeal apparently the other miners decided to keep Gregorio isolated in the latrine area due to his insistance that they find Snow White. And then there was the whistling. His continuous whistling while he worked nearly drove the other miners to madness. After much pleading from the other rescued miners, rescuers decided to seal off the hole leaving poor Gregorio to search for Snow White alone for eternity.
