I finally caved and bought myself a PSP.
Now give me the usual list of games that I just _have_ to play.

- Syphon Filter Dark Mirror & Logan's Shadow
- GTA: LCS & VCS
- Valkyria Chronicles II
- MGS Peace Walker (this alone is worth buying a PSP)
- Killzone Liberation
- Little Big Planet, LocoRoco, Patapon etc.

Today I didn't even need to use my AK. I gotta say it was a good day. (c) - Ice Cube

that dead or alive beach volleyball "game" Cool Face

the psp actually has quite a sizeable AAA title library...just off the top of my head:
burnout dominator (and that burnout 2+3 one)
metal gear solid acid, portable ops, peace walker
r-type command
jeanne d'arc
motorstorm
resistance
god of war (new one coming out soon)
ace combat
valkyria chronicles
FF dissidia
patapon1+2
lumines 2 (no need to bother with the 1st one, it's basically the same)
pursuit force (or whatever it's called)
wipeout pulse+pure
locoroco 1+2 if you're stoned

or just do the thing everyone should do when getting a new hacked console: go to gamerankings, sort by ratings and be glad you're not living in new zealand

Stuff I noted so far and wanted to grab in a minute is:
FF Dissidia (I'm a huge FF fan so this one's a must Very Happy )
MGS Peace Walker
Persona 3 portable (too lazy to look it up is it Persona 3 or P3 FES?)
GTA Chinatown Wars
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Half Minute Hero
Disagaea 2

I'm probably gonna add Valkyria Chronicles 2 (would I need to play Valkyria Chronicles 1 first?), God Of War, Lumines 2, Patapon and Wipeout Pulse.
Now olny for my PSP to arrive and for me to figure out how to play them Very Happy

You don't need to play VC1 on PS3, but it's highly recommended to better understant all the story shit. Or watch the anime.

Btw, have you bought a new PSP? That means you won't be able to play ISOs unless it's an old model from ebay.

P.S. The Syphon Filter games are awesome, man. And the two GTA games have PC gfx just like GTA3. Don't skip'em.

Some people will find its oldschool approach to platforming maddeningly frustrating, but if you can get to grips with its pixel-perfect requirements to jumping you'll find a real gem. Fans of Nippon Ichi games at the very least must try it. Humorous and challenging.

Metacritic rating:72/100

Controls take some getting used to, but otherwise it's a great port of the original.

Metacritic rating: 69/100

T'is tetris. Only complaint is the rather long time it takes to initially start up.

Metacritic Link
Metacritic rating: 85/100

Quirky Japanese puzzle game with character.

Metacritic rating: 79/100

Works surprisingly well and existing fans of VC1 shouldn't be disappointed.

Metacritic rating: 82/100

Anyone who wants to drive time-trials around Suzuka picking actual braking points whilst trying to keep the car stable throughout is going to like this. Otherwise stay clear.

Metacritic Link
Metacritic rating: 74/100

Do not overlook! The tennis action itself is straightforward enough - equal parts fun and challenging - but the real star of the show is the singleplayer career mode. It almost feels like an RPG, allowing you to walk around locations inspecting things, talking to characters and progressing at your own pace. It's another of those charmingly sweet and funny Japanese games.

Metacritic Link
Metacritic rating: 80/100

An sRPG which encourages grinding. A real time-sinker (in a good way) but it's actually the humour and characters that make it all worthwhile.

Metacritic Link
Metacritic rating: 87/100

AI is a little nearsighted (and controls can be cumbersome) but turning a blind eye (like they do) it's a sprawling, feature rich game worthy of sitting next to the big 4. The original Metal Gear Solid is worth replaying on PSP also.

Metacritic Link
Metacritic rating: 89/100

Bright, colourful and cheery. Will bring a smile to your face the moment you highlight it's logo in the XMB, and many more after that.

A perfect port of the original game with some added improvements. One of the best, if not the best, tower defense variants.

Metacritic rating: 86/100

Part dating sim, part sRPG. Specially tailored for the PSP it's another great game to sink your teeth and time into.

Metacritic Link
Metacritic rating: 91/100

If you like God of War you'll like this for certain. Some of the quick-time-events are difficult to pull off due to the smaller controls, but other than that it's a seamless transition to the small screen.

Metacritic rating: 91/100

Some games that are worth getting, but not necessarily worth shouting about are 'Vector TD', which is a no-frills tower defense title that's a lot of fun on the road. 'Age of Zombies' is another MINI that's good for some throwaway Zombie killing fun. 'Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars', which has my preferred perspective to play a GTA game on a handheld, is worth picking up too - and don't forget the PS1 library of games such as Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Destruction Derby (etc) either.

Some stuff that I've only played the demo of* but got a good impression from are LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 (which felt like Rainbow Six with the dizzying array of weapon loadouts), Half-Minute Hero, and the new God of War: Ghost of Sparta demo.

*yes I don't have CFW, pity me.

Thanks for those elobarte recommendations Smile

@Waargh
It's a 2004 I bought of ebay. The guy said it has 5.50 Gen-D3 so I guess I'm all set?

Oh yes and I forgot to mention the GTA games are must that I will get without a doubt Very Happy
(Way too big a GTA fan to miss out on them)

Fortunately it's exactly the opposite. Chinatown is a brilliant game but it doesn't have a GTA feel (unless GTA for you is GTA1&2 and not 3/3.5/4).

GTA LCS and VCS on PSP have their own quality stories and unique missions, same great voiceover and they run perfectly on original Sony memory cards and especially if your PSP's clock is set to 333 (it usually is on latest hacked firmwares).

That's bad ? What would you expect ? It's awesome for a handheld.

No, they don't. I run them in iso (not from a shit UMD disk) and I have set the psp clock-rate to maximum.
