If you suck you probably can't dunk. If you're not playing as a center or a power forward or something like that.

Just played quick game and managed to dunk. Hm, must be my guy's fault in My player mode then, but it's weird anyway, 1.96cm, SF, should be easly dunking in shootaround mode. Hm hm hm...

EDIT. OK, figured it out. It's simply a matter of having high enough 'Dunk' atribute. My guy who couldn't do it had 25 Smile Created a new one with 'Dunk' at 65 points and he's dunking easly.

It's not just about your Dunk rating! If you start fresh, it's actually better to put your skillpoints into "vertical"! It will not only help you dunk, but also help you block shots and rebound!

Ok I have to admit it.. this game is H.A.R.D.. as.. B.A.L.L.S! big tumorous B.A.L.L.S!

the D is killing me:( my second season in the franchise and I have a 4 - 10 record already. Last year I got in the conference finals.. lucky me..

this year I'll do a "New Jersey 2009-2010" and get buttfucked Sad my poor Bulls Sad

anyways best NBA Very Happy but I still hate the CPU Defense Evil or Very Mad they're tighter than a 13 year old virgin Laughing maybe I'll lower the difficulty to pro.. nah.. better getting my ass kicked and learn proper defense Laughing

Love the game! It's really hard, but all the more rewarding when you do well. Playing with the keyboard doesn't make it easier though. All the key combos makes my head hurt Very Happy

People are just used to winning all the time, in reality only the best teams get 60 wins a season, teams like the nets get 20 wins and 60 losses.

I'm getting better at the game, 2 Jordan challenges less, 8 to go.

I've never played any NBA game. Is it possible to play this game well with a keyboard?

You can, but it's harder than a gamepad of course. You have to know which key on the keyboard corresponds to the xbox controller, which complicates it a bit.

The wost thing compared to gamepad is the lack of analog sticks... especially in this games its almost required.

Yeah, that's what I had in mind. The guy on the video linked above is talking about in-between speeds. You can't do that with keyboard, can you ?

It's not that bad really, it is possible to play with the kbd. Just set the gameplay from simulation to casual and lower the difficulty until you feel it is good for you. Smile

@JanKowalski82

Do yourself a favour and buy a gamepad Wink.

You can find the 360 controller at ~30$, and it's fully supported (rumble included)

I don't know why these sport games decide that I want force feedback (rumble) during penalties. It is like that in FIFA when you are about to shoot or defend an important penalty, and it's the same with this game when you throwing penalties... Laughing

im positively surprised.
1) works fine on my FL90 notebook with 2,5c2d, 8600M GT in 1280x800
2) its not just old nba with new squads.
3) no freezes, bugs, resets, desktop visits well known from nba 2k10. 4 matches played (4x12m) and no crashes
4) less bugs on floor. havent seen 3s violation, only 1 backcourt violation, no stupid passes, no steps on sideline. its more difficult than nba 2k10
5) realistic final scores. i played 4 matches and ive seen only one final score with ~100points. im glad that people from 2kSports have fixed that bug and i hope i wont see 150:140 scores
6) im not very happy with difficulty of counterattacks. its too easy to get the ball passed from one side of the floor to another. in 2k10 most of passes were missed, in 2k11 most of them are good. if you are PG its ridiculously easy to run toward opponents basket and slam after a fast counterattack.

in the end - its good to see better nba than nba 2k10

6) Do you watch NBA? That's exactly how counterattack works lol. 1 or 2 passes finished with dunk/layup.

About the easy passes, change the gameplay mode to simulation, suddenly a lot more balls would slip of people's fingers and go out of bounds on very long passes...

... Unless receiver or passer is Michael Jordan. Seriously, I get they had to kiss his ass and make him very very very good, but come on! He almost never misses, very hard to steal ball from and passes perfectly every time! It has some smell of foul play. Laughing

Yesterday I managed to play for some minutes, but the lag killed the fun. Today I wasn't even able to connect.. Laughing

Seems though that the console players are experiencing a lot of issues as well.

I noticed passing with 'pass' button is very tricky and needs good decisions and precision. Pass with icon pass and you'll get less turnovers.

Anyone care to post their UBER config settings (for a quad core)

Would really appreciate it. My rig isn't hurting when playing, so I wanna bump it up and see what it can handle (keeping AA at 2x though) Smile

What do you mean with Uber settings? Razz

You can change the VIDEOSETTING_PLAYERLOD from 0 to 3 in order to disable the lod on players and enhance the visuals, but other than this there isn't much else to do Smile
