Mike Neumann from Gearbox was on the Avault podacast and confirmed "early 2011"
I think they asked him something like "when is it going to be released? early 2011?" and he responded "yeah, it'll be in 2011" or something like that, I can't remember how exactly he phrased it but I didn't hear him saying the word "early", which could mean he only confirmed the year (2011), not the "early" part.

I listened to it again, what they said was:
Avault: So right now we're pretty much just looking at what, early 2011, is that kind of the...
Mike Neumann: Yeah, we're saying definitely early 2011.
Jace Hall the guy that had the exclusive gameplay footage in 2008, said that in mid-October he will have a surprise for Duke fans. Probably new footage?
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I love how he says that he promised to his friend he'll never tell anyone about this government secret and then he goes on to post it on a random public forum
kinda worrys me how much gimmicky bullshit was in just that short piece of gameplay... id rather they were, u know, focusing on making it good... not implementing a feature where i can draw shit on a whiteboard..
i mean yeah ill play it, but from what ive seen, its definately not the omfgWTFAWESOMMEE game people STILL (i mean wtf, right?) are hoping it will be..

i think the whole point of that was to create suspense! So that the action at the end has a bigger impact. Which i think worked fine, because i loved wasting time in Dn3d with the interactive non-action stuff.
imho they really delivered proper "fan-service". And who wants to see yet another game-play video from an fps? We ve seen em all. So, thumbs up from me
not quite the same thing. dn3d was delivered as a solid game, and had gimmicky shit as part of its gameplay.
dnf on the other hand, has had a decade of nothing, then a years worth of rushed putting shit together... not the kind of environment that usually means solid gameplay if your also using that time to focus on less important things (and yes, im saying it... gimmicky shit is LESS important than a solid gameplay core!)
my post wasnt about HAVING gimmicky elements, just expressing my concern about what it will mean for the quality of the gameplay in such a rushed game is all!
i mean who didnt blow about 20k on strippers in dn3d?
I was at firstlook and played the game. It's going to be good
It was running on PC with an xbox controller so people could jump straight into the action.
@ Chiv: The single player PC game was almost completed by 3DR/Triptych. They did some minor work on a X360 port.
Gearbox is polishing the PC build and creating the multiplayer. The console ports are being done by piranha games.

And the whiteboard thing is the coolest thing i seen so far. (I stop the video after that as I did not want to spoil it).
duke 3d, Blood, Shadow warrior, redneck rampage, all creative funny shooters, after that the brown age began with quake...(great in multiplayer though)
now that you mention it, i would love me a blood remake. It s one of the best games of all time. Have been saying that for ages. Then shadow warrior!!!
