Shouldn't do, but personally myself I keep the PS3 off my network at all times unless I am FTPing stuff over (being over-caution I know, but I have no need, nor want with games popping up saying "update is avalable" every time I launch the fucker)
Sure, I enable the network and FTP stuff over
LAUN12345/Gamez/ is where the backup manager looks on the internal drive for games

you can plug your ps3 on your network, and give it a false proxy ip on its config, so you'll be able to use it on your network for ftp/dnla etc, but the ps3 won't be able to access internet.

You have to use a program. If you're running an Atmel board (like the Minimus or anything based on the AT90USB) then you need a program called FLIP. I'm not sure on the procedure for PIC-based boards.

Just saw a latest SFO editor released for linux. The features list says we can edit Required Firmware. So I think we can play latest games If we patched SFO's.
The best is if any rebooter showed up like x360.

for the 360 the rebooter showed up fast.. cause of the previous king kong hack back in 2006 a lot of people already worked on it... for ps3 its a bit different the 1 and only hack is just released so will require some more time before we see that.

Yeah there is no upgrade button on the device sabin,
From the original site it says "Fully updatable with new features/updates by connecting Neo Jailbreak to any computers USB port."
I think i have to take it apart to check the chip will do that pretty soon
