yeah you can't have a serious debate about a topic that really doesn't matter.
yeah it'd be great to talk to someone about particles and molecules and bits and bytes and be all WAAAAAA and have your mind blown by something so poignant and amazing. but sometimes someone's ideas and knowledge are very different than yours. you can't ask them to be killed, or murdered or stuffed in a cumpkin, you simply must understand why, how, and who they are. Everyone, and i do mean everyone, you will ever talk to... regardless of age, stature, and educational capacity, will treat you like an 8 year old. you should treat them like an 8 year old as well.
it's not to be disrespectful, or rude, but to communicate with anyone, without sounding like a dick, is to communicate as if you were talking to a child. you can use big and fancy words, and what not, but you should also understand that some people will not fully understand what you're trying to say.
getting angry because of that shows only your weakness and not theirs. you are not capable to communicate with him/her/it at a level that'll he/she/it will understand.
Repeating everything over and over, and throwing a hissy fit and saying you're wrong, he's right, blah blah blah imma sit in a corner and sip tea cause i'm amazing at that and no one else is better than me, will not get you anywhere.
Next time, smile, say something like, that can also be true, but i have my beliefs and i strongly believe in one thing, while you believe in something that i may not completely agree with, but we're both at different places on this planet, otherwise, i would punch you in the face, steal your lunch money, and tell your mother you like looking at pictures of horses having sex with pigs.
that's that. Why get angry? why get upset? Not everyone iwll have that same input as you, if they are, then everyone else is simply bleh.  Diversity is awesome. People who have strong opinions are awesome. Have fun, explore humanity  You won't live long enough to see its brilliance, so just try to find it in little places.. Enjoy life.
AND LOGIC IS WHAT LOGIC CAN BE WHEN LOGIC MUST BECOME ILLOGICAL
