So I just went into town and took six of my PS3 games with me, hoping to trade them in for pre-owned copies of Demon's Souls and Heavy Rain, but when I got to the store; I saw that BOTH games, pre-owned, were selling for 499kr EACH! FIFTY FUCKING POUNDS EACH FOR PRE-OWNED GAMES? The only reason I was even considering trading SIX games for one or two, was because of the Jailbreak hack which means I could just download them again for free. Anyway, I took my games to the till and the FUCKSTICK clerk rang them up and said;
"204kr (£20) cash or 225kr (£22.50) trade in value"
TOTAL! Total fucking offering price for six, very popular, games (three of which they had on the shelves, as pre-owned, selling for 300kr/£30 each) was £22 trade in. Not even HALF the cost of ONE of the games I wanted .. even for pre-owned copies. I checked the new section and both Demon's Souls and Heavy Rain were selling for 550kr (£55) So the thieving bastards were selling pre-owned games for FIVE POUNDS LESS than retail? Fuck this shit. Burn that fucking place to the ground, with the staff inside it.

GameStop in Norway love to rip off people. Only good deal iv made with them is the Arcade for 999kr. I went to GameStop in Sandefjord and asked if I would get more for games if they had the original plastic covers. And they responded: well, they are worth more, but we aren't allowed to accept games with original plastic covers because the games could be stolen. I just told them, iv got these games and don't need them because iv got a flashed 360. So dunno if they will accept them or not.

Yeah, sorry - should have been clearer. I would never normally trade in six games for two, let alone one, just on general principle as a fight against greed --- but knowing that I would, eventually, get one of these USB devices just meant that I would be able to get the games back. Until then I wanted HR/DS, just like I've been waiting for.
Gah. This shit pisses me off.

what about ebaying them sabin? that's not a bad idea overall. sell them on ebay at a "competitive" price against gamestop and then use that money to put towards a method of breaking your PS3 open.

All kidding aside, looking at your score makes me remember the last deal I've made...
That fucker had something like 85 and was selling a brand new Civ4 for 6€ We make the deal, Itransfer the money in the same day and the game arrives... 5 weeks after. 
Had to report it to the site too, the guy wouldn't reply to any of my e-mails.

As far as I can remember, these bigger companies have always tried to rip customers off when it comes to trading in games. Never once have I or anyone I know got a fair deal from those fuckers...
It's better to either just keep the games, give them away for free to friends or sell 'em on ebay or the likes.

That's gamestop for ya, how ya think they make all that money. I stopped going there after I told the district manager his store was a crime and he needed to get a dick stuck in his ear then walked out.

See, I was thinking that originally.. but looking at some of the prices, individually, shows that I'd be wasting my time. Some are so low it's scary. From what I've seen, bundle packs seem to sell a lot better. Either way, as long as I get enough for my JB (whichever method that is) then I'm happy ........ and I'd much rather sell to people who will enjoy them, than scam artists like EBGames/GameStop who will just make 90% profit.

It didn't get the highest rating ever, but it's one of my favourite "chillax" genres; hack'n'slash RPG (like the PS2 versions of Baldur's Gate, Champions of Norrath and Fallout) I've got the two PSP versions too and absolutely LOVE them, so of course I got the PS3 one. It's better than the PSP adaptations, that's for sure.

Agreed. It's honestly no wonders publishers detest the preowned market ... in the past it was dirt cheap, you could pick up a game for LESS than half retail cost - so publishers weren't all that bothered - but these days? You're lucky if a preowned game is £5-10 cheaper, and all that is pure profit for the greedy bastard stores.

I might be interested in MGS4 and Uncharted if you don't manage to sell your games.
Btw the problem with the used market is that a lot of games goes down in value so much and while places like Game and Gamestop still keep fairly high prices they rarely sell their used games for less than you can buy a new copy at another place. I mean I saw MGS4 at Game here in sweden for around 30€ used at the same time you can get it online for 25€ new and that is with posting included. I mean cmon pay more for a used game? Damn greedy retards
