Anyway, Discovery decides to make it more "US friendly" from the original British version, narrated by David Attenborough, a renowned nature documentary presenter and narrator, and replaces him with OPRAH fucking WINFREY!
Here is the result.
Compare:
To:
"The eating's good here yo!" "Game is rigged yo!" "Beat the rap but most get death penalty yo!"
Before that, with Planet Earth, they replaced Attenborough with Sigorney Weaver.
Have I mentioned already how pathetic Discovery and History and National Geographic and all other variations are?
I've never watched BBC's Life (I don't have any satellite antenna and I barely watch the TV ) but dear lord, the US version is so pale, dull and even unfitting if compared to the original !
@ixigia You can download bluray rips of Life. It is really worth it. Plant Earth is also great, but this is really a lot more informative and interesting.

As if you don't live in times of torrent trackers and intensive file sharing...
And who said the contrary?
Of course I can download everything nowadays, it's just that I find difficult to set a compromise between the things that I'm interested in and my slow connection. I mentioned the satellite antenna just because it would be much easier for me to watch these shows on TV instead of starting to download any bluray rip available on the net.
One can also mention UK The Office vs US The Office in the same light. One is intelligent humor, the other vulgar, stupid, lowest common denominator "humor".
American "Red Dwarf" was fantastically bad, so was the American version of "Cracker"

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!

In the first case you have to wait for the TV show to start at a particular hour of the day leaving you to wait for the next episode if it had your attention invested of course, while in the other one you could download the whole series in a bluray format for a day, assuming you really have that slow of a net connection. Then you can watch every series in a row without having to wait for the next episode till the next day (or a week in some cases). Plus, it's bluray which is far better off than the standard TV format.
There was an American Red Dwarf? Whose acid trip was that?
It was killed off immediately as an abomination when the pilot was shown. The pilot is available somewhere on the i-nets. And DAMN it was an abomination. I want to do a brainscrub to delete the memories forever.
