Seriously, women, why on earth are you so freaking indecisive?
Last week an old school friend of my gf died.
So I asked her on Saturday if she wants me to come along for the funeral.
She said no.
I asked her if she's really sure.
She said yes, she was sure.
I asked a third time she still declines.
(If I ask somebody something three times and they decline three times, that topic is done for me and people who know me know that)
Today I get a message in which she asks me if I would come along.
Funeral is tomorrow.
So now I've got till tomorrow morning to cancel, reschedule about 4 different appointments I made for tomorrow.
Fuck. But I'm a good boyfriend so I'll go with her.

Why are women so indecisive / inconsistent?

My psychotherapist (woman) told me this once:
Females have a larger centre for emotions in their brain, besides being more emotional females also have more complex emotions.
So what it boils down to, we are from Mars and they are from Venus.

That's just a PC way of saying that women are less logical.
"More complex emotions" pfft, even if men don't necessarily show it, they can feel just the same.
Easy to label it as misogynistic drivel, but imo there's a lot of good points in that video.
More complex emotions meaning more compound emotions, for example love is a compound emotion consisting of several base emotions.
Logic is the ability to reason and for that you need to let go of emotions and men (in general) seem to be able to do that better.
Interesting video, have watched it partially now but will finish it later but somehow quite a different subject.
So yeah in the western world girls are surpassing boys in school.
But education is more and more based on social and language skills in which girls do fairly better than boys.
She changed her mind! Women do that sometimes or all the time. You're beginning to sound like a woman yourself. And look where you're looking for advice! Stop obsessing about every little thing! But if you want something to worry about then open the spoiler.

do you mind elaborating this a bit further since I don't see where you're getting this from.
She tells you quite clearly she doesn't intend to go to the funeral, you make other arrangements, she changes her mind the day before, instantly you drop everything to go with her. Basically she tells you to jump and you ask how high.
If I had made other arrangements in the circumstances you describe, I would tell her she has to go alone. It doesn't make you a good boyfriend to instantly acquiesce to her whims, it makes you her bitch.
But like boysetsfire mentioned, I'm a grade A asshole, so I'll tell you what I think even when I know you won't like it.

No you tell me what you think based on a limited number of posts and a limited amount of information.
Add to that that this is, still, the internet so everything anybody says has to be taken with a big grain of salt.
So there's your theory.
How about the fact that I asked her if I should come along two days after her friend died and that at that point she thought she could cope with it alone but since then realized that she can't.
Or maybe it's because she didn't want me to be the single boyfriend accompanying a grieving friend and since then has found out that at least two other bring their boyfriends along.
So you go ahead and choose your own truth and I'm gonna do the same

Sometimes women do this out of spite. I dont know you or your gf but to me it sounds like she wants you to take charge and stop asking her what to do, keep asking her about coming to her friends funeral. Maybe she felt vunerable and didnt want you to see her like that, maybe she needed to be alone who knows.
