So I'm thinking about studying abroad. One of the more appealing destinations appears to be Sweden, specifically Lund University. I'll be studying computer science there. I know there are a lot of Swedes here so I thought I might ask you about this place. How's the school, how's the campus life? Know anyone that goes there that I can get in touch with? How well ranked is the school?

dunno about other countries, but in Norway we have this "startup week" with... drinking, activities, and more drinking. Joined a friend of mine... even tho im not a student Twisted Evil

Same in Sweden, it's happening right now actually.

Lund is one of the oldest unis in Sweden (second oldest?) along with that of Uppsala so my guess is it is probably good, great even.
But specifically for computer science I think Chalmers (Göteborg) or The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm are the best choices.

- University of Auckland, New Zealand
- University of Glasgow, Scotland
- University of Edinburgh, Scotland
- University of St. Andrews, Scotland
- University of Stirling, Scotland
- National University of Singapore
- Various Australian Universities
- Lund University, Sweden
- Middle East Technical University, Turkey

I'm no expert on Lund, but as far as I know its almost all Unit town. Should be good fun for students there.

Speaking of winter - we had the temperature drop below -30 C several days last winter.. But then again, Malmö is the farthest south you can get in Sweden, and I live almost exactly in the middle of the country Razz So no need to worry about those kind of cold temps Smile

I personally have never visited Lund, so I can't help you much there..

Those are the two I would consider Smile In turkey people die to get on METU (ODTÜ), but I would assume that you'd like it more in Lund/Sweden then Ankara/Turkey.
