got it working on mine on Pal xbox, this is what i had to do and just envolved EEPROM Region
all this stuff about the other bits are NOT needed:
Video output is still on widescreen! and working on microsft dashboard and evox and the game, region is set to "Auto" in xbox settings and Video Standard on "NTSC - North America" and TSR is set to "NO"
so basically only thing needing changing was my EEPROM.
So start configmagic, make a backup of the EEPROM, unlock HD and then edit where is says "NTSC REGION 4" and change it to "NTSC REGION 1" with the "On the fly edit EEPROM" option by deleating 4 and changing it to 1.
then select "Update XBOX EPPROM", then "Load XBOX EPPROM" - then "lock HD"
thats it, reboot console, and game should work and if you goto Configmagic settings again it should say NTSC REGION 1.
just be careful with config magic as you can screw over your xbox!

, but like i said widescreen in Microsfdt dash still works and other settings like TSR in debug no needed

 I did The Epprom change to NTSC Region 1 And it worked a treat

I have a 1.6 xbox and configmagic final gives an error "invalid xbox version specified"
anyone know if there's a version of configmagic that will work with the latest xbox's?

OK, this WILL work on a PAL XBox (with its EEPROM set as PAL) without the need for an Evo chip, 'cos I'm watching it run through the demo right now.
You need UnleashX (or rather I only know how to make it work with that), then go System -> Settings -> Video Display -> Set 'Auto Switch' to 'Yes'. It should then work perfectly.
I'm running it on a 1.1 PAL XBox, set to widescreen with an Xecuter 2.3 chip running the latest X2 BIOS and it's working just fine. No nasty EEPROM fiddles needed this way either.

i'm on world 6, personally think its dumbed down for xbox compared to GC, like you can select easier levels to carry on during progress

This is what to do if you have a PAL XBOX and you dont want to mess with your EEPROM.
Here is my experience with this release:
First my config: XBOX PAL v1.0, Bios EvoX M7 (K:5101), Dash EvolutionX 1.08.3935, IGR OFF, Game region Default, Video region PAL.
I booted the game from DVD in PAL video mode and the game return to dash...
I booted the game from DVD in NTSC video mode and the game return to dash...
I keep UnleashX as APPS for its support for .rar, .zip and its ability to autoswitch videomode EEPROM SAFE.
So i start UnleshX i go to Settings>Video Display>Video Mode (EEPROM Safe)>Autoswitch select [YES] and Multi Region Mode [NTSC M] and the Save and Exit.
Reboot start UnleashX>Launch DVD and game works!!! (probably it patch the kernel for both video mode and game region!!!)
I have UnleashX 0.37.1218A Build 543 (you can see that at Setting>Xbox Info>Dash version).
I installed the game on HDD with Complex Tools v1.60 with MEDIAPATCH set to 1 and at the end it looks like "media flags patched" and "no CD routine check was founded".
I start UnleashX and i launch the game from HDD and game DONT works!!!
I inserted the DVD in the tray i start UnleashX and i launch the game from HDD and game works!!!
I replaced the "patched" default.xbe from HDD with the original one from DVD i start UnleashX and i launch the game from HDD and game works!!!
SO IF YOU WANT TO RUN THE GAME FROM HDD SIMPLY COPY THE GAME FROM DVD TO HDD WITH BOXPLORER OR ANY OTHER FILEMANAGER THAT DONT PATCH THE .XBE's AND LAUNCH IT FROM UNLEASHX!!!
I dont know if it works with BIOSEs with EJECT FIX or with softmodded XBOXes with NKpatcher becouse this alter the ROE flag (rest on eject).

Works here on a XBOX (1.1) with SmartXX (settings all on American) without changing anything else.
Think that the SmartXX makes these changes somehow.

here's what I had to do to get the game working on my pal xbox, I hope it helps someone
my set up is 1.6 xbox, xecutor 3 modchip with x3 bios build 3039, evolutionx dash build 3935
open up your evox.ini
underneath the line "ChameleonLed = 15"
add the following 2 lines:-
GameRegion = 1
Adjust Game Region in Evox settings = yes
then save the changes you've made
ftp this evox.ini to your xbox c drive
reboot your xbox and the game will now work from the dvd (you need an ntsc compatible tv, once the game runs it automatically switches to ntsc)
as was stated by catalinnc if you want the game to run from your hard drive use a file transfer program that doesn't patch the default.xbe or copy the default.xbe over from the dvd to your game folder

BTW my setup was with cheapmod, bios 4981 X2.
Also installed to HD and works fine - using Px-HDD Loader. - took ages though!
will try on my kids crystal xbox tomorrow as that has SmartXX chip, seeing Drake008@ says his is ok and the kids are moaning that the PS2 version looks rubbish compared to the xbox one and they want it on theirs, lol

considering the release groups do it for no profit, and they dont have to get you games for free, i'd be a little more grateful and stop whinging about it, some people have it working so it wasn't a total disaster. give the release guys a break.

i have also been a part of the scene , and when you call a game WORKING it have to work on all Machines . thats it ... this realease is not a working title and they should nuke it .....

So what if you have to change 1 settings, so what if your xbox cannot be altered to do this setting thats your problem, if your xbox is setup right and you have a compatible TV, then the game works fine from dvd or HD

Just tested on my kids SmartXX chipped console, works a treat, all i had to change was region to NTSC M in avlaunch settings! as it was on Auto,
seems as if smartXX chips nothing needs altering EEPROM wise!

If you complain about having to tweak your settings to get it run, my oppinion is to go out and buy the fucking game yourself, or wait till next month (in my PAL case) till its officially released and spend £40 on it.

I got an SmartXX chip, don't know which version I got on my xbox though.

*LOOOOOOOOL* i have got it to work but change eeprom on your motherboard becoz playing a game is a very danger thing to , 6/10 it destroy the mother but , a good rule never use software to change eeprom , NO its not a working realease , but still keep up the good work gamers just dont write Working a game where you have to change your eeprom

I have a PAL box with no chip.. just flashed bios (4981, running evox), and here's what I did:
Changed TSR to Normal
Changed Region to Auto
Game runs fine from DVD... haven't tested from HD yet.
