They released it, so you can try it. Visually looks kinda like Chrome, but it's nice.
The only real problem is that none of my add-ons aren't working so I'll stay with 3.6 until that's solved :\
Also is this new or I'm just seeing this for the first time?

Well, I have it under Chrome. It seems neither Opera nor Firefox support this feature...

On a C2D 1.8GHz T60:
2509 Firefox 4.0b3
4691 Opera 10.60 (opera bumrapes the firefox in all aspects, except data where firefox was ~8% infront)
4588 Chrome 5.0.375.126 (generally slower than opera but has an IMPRESSIVE Data value! Must be some sort of cheat or really advanced technology as it has almost 3x the points the other two have  )
And you should know that the peacekeeper benchmark does not take canvas into the calculations of the final score... which is a pity because opera is blazing fast in that aspect. |

Chrome is probably also quite faster. But that is not what matters most. What matters most for me are the extensions. Chrome is advancing, but it still doesn't an option to disable loading of elements altogether instead of merely hiding them.

Switching to Firefox fixed an issue I had with the nfo-humping gif not displaying properly, and this is definitely a huge advantage point for me

Firefox 4 beta 4 gets GPU acceleration
A HOST OF GOODIES have been announced by Mozilla in the beta 4 version of Firefox 4, including GPU acceleration.
The open source software outfit revealed the updates in its online minutes report and set a release date for this next beta version of next Monday. The beta bump comes a mere couple of weeks after multi-touch support was addressed in beta 3 for "intuitive fun and browsing", no less.
Hardware GPU acceleration is being coded into nearly every web browser so this announcement isn't too much of a surprise.
"Hardware acceleration of video and other HTML and SVG content, as well as user interface, on by default for compatible hardware on all Tier-1 desktop and mobile platforms," blogged the Mozzarella Firebadger 4 development team.
Also getting an update is speedier Javascript benchmarking for Chrome users, making the browser 20 per cent faster. That might not sound like much but, with hardware acceleration taking care of resource intensive websites, it could make the difference between a good user experience and throwing coffee at your display.
Mozilla has already moved the user interface to the user friendly tabbed interface but tab candy is also going live in Firefox beta 4. The team said it has landed but that there's "lots of follow up work to do on interactions, integration with other features."

Already tried GPU acceleration in the nightlys and it wasn't worth it (at least at that time) since the nVidia driver crashed like crazy. I don't know whether the buggy implementation in Firefox killed the driver or nVidia fucked up, but I guess it's nVidia's fault.

I just tried it for some hours on 480GTX and there were no crashes. 
The only thing I didn't like was the font appears blurry.
