PFFT so the DLCies will be some small stories in which you have to play some completely different character and it wont benefit the actual gameplay of Vito at all?...

There's two DLC about this Jimmy character (As mentioned in the article linked to.) but there's also one entitles Joe's Adventure and I think that was the slightly obese companion to Vito (The guy you play as.) but all I can see are the names and sometimes a light description and that doesn't really reveal much.
(There's also a unnamed DLC9 and DLC10 with most of the rest being these item packs and the above three story things or what they'll be.)

Same but only thing that bugs me is already the insane amount of "DLC" that is available and just kept out of the game for more $$$

Well, that bug can be easily squashed. Simply download the DLC when it becomes available.
As I'm going to.
But I am going to buy the game. I can count the number of games I've bought on two hands, but this one is worth every penny.

This is just ridiculous and pathetic:
http://www.destructoid.com/unico-wants-to-halt-release-of-racist-nonsense-mafia-ii-181759.phtml

Quote:
UNICO National, an Italian American service organization, is looking to put a stop to the release of Take-Two's forthcoming third-person action title, Mafia II.

The organization claims that the title -- which follows the story of a young Italian man as he rises through the ranks of a mob family -- is a "pile of racist nonsense." In a letter sent to Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick, UNICO says Mafia II is an "inappropriate and insulting perpetuation of the pervasive and denigrating stereotype of organized crime being the exclusive domain of Italians and Italian Americans."

"Why would [Take-Two] foist a game on their targeted audience of young people wherein they will indoctrinate a new generation into directly associating Italians and Italian Americans with violent, murderous organized crime, to the exclusion of all of the other 'mafias' run by other ethnic and racial groups," says UNICO's Andre DiMino said. "Take-Two is directly, blatantly and unfairly discriminating and demeaning one group to the exclusion of all others. We are demanding they halt release of the game and cleanse it of all references to Italians and Italian Americans."

DiMino is asking for a meeting with execs from Take-Two, a company which he says has a "history of perpetrating its violent, sleazy, racist videogames upon an unsuspecting public."

Mafia II is being release next week, August 24, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The game was announced in 2007; if UNICO is truly interested in stopping its release, it's unclear why it waited days before it hits store shelves to go public with its complaints.

Anyway, response:

As I am Italian and I live in Italy, I don't feel any attack to my "race" even if I hope that people will understand that there is mafia in Italy and with italians, but it doesn't mean that all italians are related with mafia.

Such organizations should stop thinking gamers are easily infuencible retardos and give us more credit. A gamer has probably a better distinction between reality and fantasy than a non-gamer. What moron turns into a mobster after playing a game? How can all those 'gangsta' movies and pimp wannabee assholes in "reality" shows not influence little kiddies while a game does?

Organizations like that is just desperate to get some attention when it's easy for them, like accusing a video game (which has already been rated Mature) for messing with the heads of children.
I mean, you don't see them go out in full force every time Martin Scorsese releases a new Mafia drama, they are nothing but Attention Whores that needs to be put down. Rolling Eyes

Hmm, I don't think so, since the game is Steam protected, I know, Steam is not hard to crack but it seems that games with this DRM isn't released before the official release date.

Maybe because a file has to be downloaded from Steam first or something (please correct me if I'm wrong) Smile
