finished it in less that 5 hours yesterday in one playthourgh
in the final sequence you have 60 seconds to board the plane , don't even try to stop running until you can shoot the dogs , it'll take more tries to know where to cut corners and shit
all in all , not bad , not that great either , locations feel the same but arent , and it doesnt have that awesome story telling method like the first one with flashbacks and stuff like that .
shooting mechanics are still bland and cover system is still faulty since you can glued to certain objects

There are some fixes as well but it's rather minor, most of those 52 differences is just deleting those "okkie" comments, funny that the main kainandlynch.zip file got left alone and that it was added to patch01.zip instead (Which isn't encrypted so having the pre-load data and adding this file to the Reloaded files and comparing them provided those interesting results, patch01.zip won't load without the modified exe however but as seen above it's very minor and most of a cover-up in a way, though a failed one minus some smaller fixes.)

I enjoy it as a somewhat chaotic shooter, bit darker in theme and more mature elements though a bit comical via those over-exposed effects and "b" action story though it's entertaining for what it is.
(Runs quite OK though visuals are a bit dated and meant to be masked via those shader effects.)
(Censorship is a bit funny as well since just as in the first game you just see these wound decals and then they add this pixel effect over to make it look more brutal, same with nudity if you look from certain angles as it's not very precise coverage so it's just like with Saints Row 2 like a "doll" and a bit like Punisher in terms of covered up violence though that game did have actual gore in it.)
Story is a bit too chaotic at times though, reading the chapter text description fills in some of it however but it's said to also be rather brief and end abruptly though the same kinda goes for the first game though it did have a bit of a closure as well.
(It's kinda like a budget title arcade machine shooter at times, haha.)
    
    
    
(Sorry about the nude thingy, just at the level after and didn't take any screens so it kinda ends with that, funny moment though also mixes in more darker themes and you can hear Lynch kinda breaking from stress via constant mumbling, lots of enemies as well now so it gets rather chaotic and they're getting better equipped plus even at lower difficulties they're rather OK in terms of flanking though you heal quickly and can handle a lot of damage though on harder difficulties things need to be done a bit slower, weapon difference is mostly about pistol, smg, shotgun or rifle but there's some difference between the various models as well, usually carry a shotgun type and rifle type though it depends on how easy ammo is to come by so I tend to switch around often.)

There's two versions as seen via Steam (Or if unpacking the SIM/SID files from Reloaded manually as well.) a low-gore version for Germany and maybe some other countries and a normal-gore version for other regions.
Comparing both with one another reveals multiple differences but it's just the KL2.exe file and nothing else, comparing both against Reloaded's version shows it to be most like the normal-gore version and the censorship is by design (EDIT: As mentioned above.) in terms of pixelation and such but there's still decal wounds and other effects like blood and heavy swearing (Unsure if that's filtered.) that isn't masked in any way.
(And as per above it's just a extra effect, underneath is nothing aside from the actual model with a little decal but the pixel effect makes it seem more than it is, same with nudity thingie unless some modeler took a chance with some of it though this seems unlikely as they kinda look like ken-dolls from certain angles in that particular level where the censor effect isn't very precise.)

Really noibody unable to start it? like crash 2 desktop at the loading screen.

impossible to solve it i tried literally everything but still no luck, when i launch the game my comp just restarts.Uninstalled it eventually

I've read that people had that issue even for the demo version though I wonder what causes it, could be driver related (GPU drivers.) since if it was related to the DirectX redist or VC++ redist it wouldn't start at all and I can't see any OS issues that would cause something like that. (UAC or something wouldn't have that effect.)

i dont know i tried the demo too the first time it started perfectly completed the demo and than stopped playing it for an 1 hour or 2.Than when i tried to launch it again my comp just restarts.Completely removed it and than when the whole version came out the same happened.Reinstalled drivers, direct x , vc++ ,pshycx , just everything but still no luck.

Yeah it's some strange thing, there is some cached data under C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Local under a folder with a bunch of numbers, sometimes several folders even, though I don't know what it does, settings themselves are stored in the registry under IO Interactive and the savegame is under \My Documents\My Games\Kane and Lynch 2\ I think it was.
Might be part driver related and part a problem with something in the actual game engine but only very severe GPU failure errors would result in a system restart.
EDIT: Ahaha the first imageshack "403" message has appeared.
(Lynch stranging that guy before helpin Kane, it did look a bit strange to some people I'd guess what with the nudity thing and pixelation in effect.)

LoL! Shortest game ever? My friend beaten it in about 3 hours. WTF?! I was in Teamspeak with him the whole time and he finished just about 10 minutes ago... this is a fucking joke. And it seems like the most generic shooter of all time, also one of the most boring ones.

feck, i was really lookin forward to this game specialy the MP.
But a 3 to 5 hour SP and MP that lags like hell is to much for 30 euro :/
Maybe if they fix the MP il pick it up for 25ish.
