Hi, I wanted to send two DVDs with the image files of Flight Simulator X to a friend with a little package (included is a Saitek Joystick).

Obviously it's a copied version of FSX. Do you think that they will actually open the package to check the content of the DVDs? Or should I rar the image files and give them a password? (Which I would not prefer Sad )

Nah, it's all good man. I've done this plenty of times, as well as receiving stuff from MAME Burners, and never had an issue. If they do open the packages, the chances of them checking the contents of the media is VERY slim =)

To be on the safe side, type something like '11/12/2010 London Terrorist attack plans' on the cd rather than FSX.

I sent some wares to a mate in belgium once - he was so scared of getting it opened so he asked me to disquise it.
I made a long letter about welcoming him to the gayclub and stuff. And the cd cover was a guy with a forearm up his arse.

I'm not sure what your postal service is going to do if they find a blank CD. Surely they'll just think it's a mix cd or something for your long distance gay pen friend.

Even if they put the disk in and found it to be a copied version of a game (NEVER going to happen), you and your friend could claim you own legal originals and maybe your disk was scratched.

Yeup, exactly! Honestly Pumpy; don't sweat it. I've done this tons of times, both sending and receiving, nothing has ever happened or gone wrong =)

Worst thing that can happen is that your shiz gets broken

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Not complete sure about that right now but sending something like that into Germany could get you into trouble with customs.

@pumpy:
I don't think you gotta fear too much there.
Do you wanna send it inner country or to another country?
Inner country (at least that's my experience with Germany) they don't give a damn.
Been sending Anime back and fourth with a couple of people for years now.
Into another country can't tell you about that only know how painful it can be to receive something from another country in Germany Very Happy
(like when I ordered Demon's Souls from Canada and I had to wait for a week for it go through customs...)

Customs are more concerned with drugs and people avoiding certain taxes than illegal software on CD's.
No terrorist will send info on CD's or DVD's to a traceable foreign address, they use da internet lol.

Not terrorists but pedophiles. They use the postal way far more than the internet so it's not that unlikely for your package to get looked closer at when there are a bunch of discs in it.

Encrypt with hide filenames it and put rar exes there if the receiver is too dumb to install Winrar. Don't forget NSA can easily find the password if they want. Very Happy

You've probably caused a bunch of red-flags to go up already by making this thread. Since the FBI seems to be expanding its operations to include 'piracy' I'm sure they have this 'underground' website under surveillance. And talk of sending dvds with flight simulator programs is definitely going to pique their interest. I can see the headline already

FBI tip-off helps German police dismantle group of <insert boogeyman of the week> with links to underground pirate site.

Good-bye PumpAction. Sad
