Unfortunately, all I have are vague recollections about this movie, but it has been stuck in my head all week, and I can't remember the title. I'd love to find out what it is, so I may find out why it keeps running through my head. I don't remember if it was particularly good or not.
The details I remember are the characters are gathered for a goodbye party for another character.... it's a professor, a scientist, a religious sort (a rabbi, perhaps?) and a few others and some of them have brought their significant others with them, the teacher has brought one of his students who they're 'involved' with.
They sit for a good part of the beginning of the movie talking philosophy, and then... well, the next thing I can remember is they're leaving, the one guy doesn't want to make a big show of it, I don't think he even wanted this goodbye party... but then you find out he's not who he says he is.. either he's some sort of con man or murderer, either way, he has some sort of shadowy past he doesn't want anyone to find out about. I remember he just gets in his truck and wants to leave immediately, but the movie doesn't end at that point, it keeps going until he either kills someone or pulls a con on someone he knows...
That's all I can remember, I've watched it in the past 2 years, and am pretty sure it isn't older than that. I thought I picked up the suggestion somewhere in the 'last watched movie' thread here, but I don't want to search through several hundred pages, and unfortunately I don't even have a good keyword to search for.
Any help?

It was okay to watch .. nice story ... poor acting. Could have been way better...

Man from earth was quite B but still quite good. I like the story alot
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
