actually i remember not hating that movie. for a seagal movie it was above average, ditto for stv movies. not great by any stretch obviously, but there were parts that werent unbearable, and i remember being able to finish the film and not feel TOO badly about it.

Pfft, it has maybe 20 minutes of Seagal, the rest is a bunch of acting class grade actors trying their best to not disappoint Seagal. Laughing

When the girl asked Steven "who are you?"
and he said - "they call me Tau", and then this ubercool electric guitar music broke - that was the straw which broke the camel's back in this movie for me.

Predators 4/10

If you think AvP was bad, this is worse. I forced myself to stay awake during the movie, my wife felt asleep and my daughter was totally bored. I was looking at poeple faces when we got out and everyone had the same face, the one you have when you have a bad wake up.

What to expect from a PG13 movie

Slaughtered Vomit Dolls - 2/10.
They tried too hard to make it "psychadelic". Turned into just another August Underground Mordum alike movie (could be that it was released before AUM..don't really care tbh.)
Hopefully I get a copy of Snuff 102 soon as I can check what the fuzz is about. So far i've seen no movie that i've found very chocking.

Just checked. It was made 2006 while AUM was made 2001. So I guess I saw AUM when it was released Smile Snuff 102 is from 2007. C'mon directors! Put some quality into your splatter!

and that films the 'first sequence' dont forget. the next movie, full sequence, apparently deals with a 12 person one...

most surprising thing about this is it WASNT made by the japanese.

if you can't figure it out, watch the movie again with this at hand;
http://www.freeweb.hu/neuwanstein/primer_timeline.html
probably the biggest "wtf?" is the granger incident, as he comes from a discarded future timeline and there's no way to know how that happened after the fact without him telling them
an issue that is rarely explored in timetravel films

Repo Men. 7.5/10.

I found this film to be thoroughly enjoyable. Decent acting, engrossing story, tons of action, lots of gore. Really, really enjoyed it - definitely as good as I was hoping/expecting. The only reason I gave it a low score was because of the, sadly, predictable ending Sad

 Spoiler:

Shame as that really spoiled what was actually a VERY good film. Also sucks that John Leguizamo's bit part was very... umm... "bitty" heh. He also wasn't credited for his role in the film, not during the credits nor on IMDb.

Oh and;

awful cliche story
passable action
surely there could have been better post-cyberpunk stories to be told

um, no..
there are no paradoxes in multiverse timetravel
every travel-event creates a brand new universe where anything can happen
that's what the first half of the film was about; they didn't know what sort the theory was, so they took precautions for all possibilities, and multiverse was proven the moment the cellphone rang the second time
if this was a linear timetravel theory like timecrimes or 12 monkeys this would be a paradox but because it's multiverse, things are allowed to happen
and there's certainly no arbitrary rules like 'not allowed to speak'
and aaron does speak - to himself even

Quote:
two boxes and faster travel

not exactly.. the point was that he could take a box made in the present and take it to the past, creating an extra box out of thin air
this is what the ending of the film was about.. he was starting a company that used the technology for replicating machines for profit without cost
he had to travel several days so he had to take sleeping pills
he had been in the box for days without nourishment, which is why he was so beat when he met himself of the previous cycle

see the linked timeline
it's all in the film but he really didn't make it easy for us Smile
