Absolute epic masterpiece, masterful film making. It just left me breathless the first time I saw it.
It's funny, No Country for Old Men got all the attention in 2007, but I honestly think There Will Be Blood is leaps and bounds above it, while NCOM is a pretentious snore (typical Cohen brothers affair), whose only redeeming quality is the main trio's performance. But I can see why TWBB is not for everyone.

You summed up pretty well what I feel about this movie!
No Country for Old Man has nothing to do with There Will be Blood, it's not that it's a bad movie, it's not, it was a great one, but There Will Be Blood was something else, it was one of those movies they just don't make on the present day, it was superb on every level.
And the perfomances of Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano are just indescribable epic!

Slow start, but the movie was excellent once it got going.
One thing I kept laughing through out the whole movie cos of:
Spoiler: | love the fact that one of the witches played Duelling Banjos when they entered the camp! lol! |
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Brilliant movie. Cant believe I missed this one. Probably the best flick dealing with time travel i have seen, simply because the main character isnt trying to change evnts by going back to the past, but instead, observe and plan for the future. Whereas a lot of other time travel films are more far fetched; somehow this felt more realistic The plot has many twists and turns and its always good when a movie isnt overly predictable. Brad Pitt does a good job at playing a crazy person too Favourite quote "i was attacked by a coked up whore and a fucking crazy dentist" |

That movie is the best time travel thriller I have ever seen!

I think Timecrimes is even more innovative, but Twelve Monkeys is still a solid 9/10. The Gilliam look adds a lot to it.

+1, this is an excellent movie. Haven't seen it in years and kinda forgot about it, I'm going to have to watch it again. It was one of my favorite movies when it came out back in the 90's.

timecrimes was brilliant.. but any discussion of timetravel is incomplete without primer
the most realistic and in depth timetravel film there is
it's a ridiculously obscure mindfuck, but it all does makes sense
10/10 from.. whenever i last watched it

Thanks, another one i havent heard of |
Hehe, I downloaded Twelve Monkeys to watch it after I saw your post.
Also 9/10 from me
Spoiler: | What I did not like is that the most of time travel movies end up as self fulfilling prophecies and also in infinite loop. |
|
Spoiler: |
That's because if time travel into the past was possible that was exactly what you would have. |

I'll agree for a low budget film it was, primer was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

The A-Team 9/10 The movie was actually really good A perfect blend of action and humor
