5%.... dude this game had two campings each are 15-20 hours long...its a 30-40h long game and adding that each decision gives you completely different random missions when you go bad or good it adds another 5h of fun...
so thats like 35-45h and i am not counting the fetch quest with the satellites or meteors that adds you another 8h ... or the stunt quests another 5h , cop quest 8h etc... its a fricking long game

Is it worth playing?
Apologies for asking in the sequel thread but didn't want to resurrect an old thread. I'm new to PS3 as I bought one last weekend and working out whats worth playing and what isn't.

Absolutely worth playing! If you liked Hulk or Prototype, you'll get an absolute kick out of InFamous. Personally I consider InFamous better than Prototype.
I'm playing through it right now, currently on the last island. IMO while Prototype is more immediately satisfying with its fast paced action, inFamous is slower paced but more rewarding, and lasts a whole lot longer too as someone mentioned before in this thread. You can get it for around £10 now so it's great value for money.

I kinda enjoyed prototype. My issue with it was it got old quickly as the mission structure was rather shallow to say the least and there's only so many times you can go about doing the same stuff with the same powers.
I played the demo for the first game but couldn't get into it. After watching this trailer tho I thought I'd give it a second try. Got it off eBay for 15 bucks shipped. Hoping it'll be as entertaining as gow3

prototype was fun. i loved it.
to me it was better than crackdown with the whole superpower sky high jumping and shit.
i don''t have a ps3. but i always reccomend this game among couple others to my ps3 friends.

Heh, I guess the new trailer has injected some interest back into the first game.
@tombata there is variety, but as with any open world game there IS quite a bit of repetition as well. Off the top of my head there are many chase/find/escort/kill/destroy/rescue missions, plus lots of shard collecting to upgrade your power bar. On top of that you'll get random spawning enemies, and civilians asking for help.
bleh i fired up the first one for an hour or so last night. pretty generic overall. crappy voice acting and even if the guy was 50 ft from the sound was coming through like he was still standing right beside me. glad i gave less than 20 for it.

The whole thing so far as I played. Crappy graaphics, shitty voice acting, shitty sound... umm the controls are, well dinky to sum it up. On my mobile too much shit to tap out to explain the controls. The running animation irks me too heh. Just overall it seemed half assed to me. Reminded me a lot of one of those spiderman games on the 360, in particular the one that pissed everybody off.
Just my opinion man. There are plenty here who like the game and I'm not trying to debate that. Its just not for me.
