So...list the worst movies you've ever seen - or biggest disapointment.
I'll start:
Aliens 4 - From the trailers it looked bloody great, but it turned into some stupid piece of junk with mutated aliens that sucked. Alien sex between an alien and Ripley didnt exactly make it better.
Batman & Robin - Seriously, after the Batman that came before this I was expecting a pretty decent movie. Then this junk appeared. Talk about going backwards, it's pretty much as stupid as the old tv series only the tv series was atleast funny!
Can't think of anymore atm...but there are proberbly a couple of more ill mention laters
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Blade Trinity - Took the most bad-ass character ever and turned him into a joke.
Highlander 2,3,4, stopped keeping track there - Same reason as above.
Terminator Salvation - Another franchise terminated.
Btw, I object to Alien 4 being put in this list. It was Ripley at her most awesome and with extra super-powers. Plus it had Ron Perlman.

This one can't be missing on your list:
Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) by Ed Wood
Armageddon (1998) An insult to viewer's intelligence.

I avoid crappy movies or I simply forget them to protect myself against emotional trauma.

You know, this is so true...
And yet, because I've seen it when I was young, and because of the sheer quality of the cast, it is still very enjoyable even if very dumb.
I suggest Deep Impact, another film with a similar subject, but much more intelligently done.

I'm gonna get a lot of shit for this one. Not the worst movie I've seen, but truly a contender for the "most boring and/or pointless movie" spot. 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Kubrick made more pictures that actually told 2 stories (Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange) first part of Space Odyssey was good, second part best be viewed stoned.

let's see.. *digs up imdb vote history*
avp
alien4
indy4
forbidden kingdom - jet li, jackie chan.. what have you done?
Alice Through the Looking Glass - i'll admit i watched this just because it had beckinsale in it.. but whose idea was it to cast an adult in a child's role in fucking alice in the wonderland?
otto; or, up with the dead people - praised in reviews.. can't see a single redeeming feature in the entire film.. bonus points for being probably the only zombie/gay porno film though (also wasn't expecting the amount of erect zombie cock i would see when i walked into the theater)
hailed as masterpieces but were horseshit;
dazed and confused
limits of control
crouching tiger, hidden dragon
shit films made by people i expected a lot more from, especially given the premise;
poseidon (by wolfgang petersen)
nothing (by vinzento natali)
the invasion (by guy who made downfall)
dogville (by lars von trier)
deathproof (by tarantino)
films i was lied about (and were also shit);
expelled - said to be a documentary about corruption - was creationist propaganda
what the bleep do we know - said to be a documentary about string theory etc - was new age propaganda

I like The Spirit for one reason: it helped me appreciate Sin City even more. Until I watched The Spirit, I didn't know how wrong a comic adaption can go.

For people who don't know The Spirit:
Sin City was a adaptation of the Frank Miller comic. Because of Sin City's success, Miller was given a chance to direct a movie of his own. He got a bigger budget than Rodriguez got for Sin City ($53 mio vs. $40 mio.), he is an experienced storyteller and his Sin City stories were really good, he had capable and charismatic actors like Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson... You can say that he had all the ingredients of a good movie and yet he failed SOO hard.
It is one of the messiest movies of the recent past, seriously. Everyone should watch it and learn that doing adaptations and remakes isn't as straight forward as one might assume.

Just goes to prove that good writers are not necessarily good directors.
Which reminds me, from writer or The Dark Knight, David S. Goyer, came another abomination: The Unborn

to be fair i only watched half of dazed & confused
personal opinion obviously, but watching kids happily torture each other for no reason whatsoever and pretend it's ok because it's the culture of going to school is just insane
make it a film about school under a fascist regime and how social norms dictate such behaviour and i'll be more interested, but don't tell me it's an acceptable way to behave for any person
