You still have to pay to play. Which is the reason I won't be buying this.

Well after my experiences with the beta, I'm definitely going to give this a miss for a while. IF, and that's a big freakin' if, they manage to fix the lag and performance issues; I'll buy it. Until then? Not a chance in hell.
A stuttering lagging FPS? NOT FUN.

When does this game actually come out? On Steam it says July 2nd, but there's also this "Key to the City", which says June 12-19. Could someone help me out?

Game runs like shit on my system - framerate tops out at about 40-45, and often dips into the low 20s during any hectic action. Not really sure what is so demanding as the graphics aren't anything special. Same issue whether I have it on minimum or maximum settings.
-Played my five hours - the missions are repetitive and often team-stacked.
-The damage modeling makes Bad Company 2 seem like Rainbow Six in terms of kill power.
(from the official forums: 5. Aim for the chest/stomach which is a bigger target, not the head. Headshots hurt as much as a shot to the toe.)
-Enforcer/Criminal means fuck all. Each side wreaks just as much havoc on the populace.
In summary - it fails. Hard.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

*I pay monthly to play video games because I have no friends IRL*
Facts & figures on obesity: Obesity is one the major health challenges worldwide and has become an epidemic over the last decades. Europe has the highest number of overweight and obese people in the world. The number of obese people has in fact tripled over the last 20 years in the Europe, according to the WHO. Today, over 130 million people are obese in Europe; approximately 10%-20% of men and 15%-25% of women. In addition, 400 million people are overweight in Europe.

The game runs fine on my system . . . then again I have an overclocked i7 930 and 5870.
However, I didn't like the game. It really did feel like an mmo version of L4D versus (which I dislike) mixed with GTA's multiplayer mode. It just wasn't much fun--that said the character creator was great--just not monthly fee great.
Because everyone reads these amirite.

The two biggest deal breakers for me (not counting the shitty performance) are the driving camera and the bullet soak.
It seems like 80% of my concentration while driving is spent rotating the fucking camera to see where I'm going. They need a first person camera for driving or a locked camera system that turns itself.
The combat in this game is fucking atrocious. There are no hit boxes, so no matter where you shoot someone you do the same amount of damage. People soak an INSANE amount of bullets , so there's no reason to actually aim. Combat is best solved by getting your entire group to fire in the same general direction at once. It's utter crap and absolutely ruins the game.
If they remedied these two things, which they won't, they might have a decent game.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

So I just tried this, and to my surprise..
I loved it.
Had great, great fun playing with 2 buddies, driving around looting stores, ruining missions for other players, all that good stuff. I'm actually thinking about buying this, despite the P2P.

Yes I do not like the fact I have to dish out $50 and on top of that a monthly fee. There are tons of other games that only require you to buy the game and online is free with dedicated servers(BF2,BC 1-2,etc,etc)I could see them charging a monthly fee if the software was free.

Yeah I played it with three others last night and it was a blast (pardon the pun). It's certainly improved since I last played it back in November, in particular they seem to have resolved the terrible lag in the built up area of the city.
I don't know about buying it though, as I'm unsure if there'll be enough content and variation to keep me playing for a long time. If it was a free download and monthly fee then I'd probably subscribe until I got bored, but also having to shell out £25 for a copy really puts me off. With the copy there's 50 hours included access, which could be eaten up in a short time if you particularly like the game.

The game is not bad, but it certainly does not feel like final product.
There are tons of graphical isuses, lag/preformance isuses(suddenly objects appear right in front of you, sucks when driving), and just common interface problems (like the transparrent chat box, that is almost impossible to read). I could live with these thing for some time, but.. The hitboxes.. Damn they are bad. You can easily empty your automatic rifle straight at someones head and he doesn't die.
The fact that you need to shoot a vehicle less for it to explode, than killing a person is just bad.
If they decide to release the game as it is now, it will not be very well received.

I don't get all the shit this game gets.
I loved playing my 5 hours, and certainly wish I had more time.
I had no problems at all with performance or network lag.
I can see the game being boring by yourself, but it's pretty damn fun with friends.

I really hated the driving parts, and the game even on a high end system was too laggy for it's own good, that and it's time restricted, at least the beta was. I'd rather pay for a month and play as much as I'd like.

You can do that.
The game can even be Free to Play if you spend enough time with it.
Also, I kinda like the way the driving is.

Free to play?Wupteedoo,so you can sit in an editor all day and paint and make decals. The action part is not free at all.The beta was fun but Im not going to fork out $50 plus pay a monthly fee.The $50 should be the only fee involved. They can always make their money by selling the RW points and they will on top of a subscription. Thanks but no thanks.Back to GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption for me.

What? You can buy gametime with the in-game currency. Hence why I said "if you spend enough time with it."
