If modding/.ini tinkering and such is excluded, I never take more than 3 minutes per game to setup the options, and once it's done, it's done for good.

even if not... i bought my xbox used. every year just return it and pay 20 doller for warranty 
paid 149 for it. now i got elite version for 20 doller.

It is not Ironic, actually. Nintendo has been pushing innovation for years, while MS and Sony are playing catch up. Sure, their stuff might look a little more impressive now, but imagine what the Wii2 will look like when it's released and and how powerful enough machine for truer innovation.

I like the new Kirby and the potential of 3DS. Goldeneye is meh to me, I think people will like it for it's nostalgic effect like Mario, Zelda, or Icarus.

So here are my impressions on the nintendo press conference:
- Zelda: looked good, like a mix between TP and WW, the controls where horrible but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they had problems.
- Mario Sports Mix: Meh...
- Wii Party: Looks a lot like Mario Party, kinda pointless. (why not make another mario party)
- Just dance 2: Not for me -.-
- Golden Sun: Cool, but I would have liked it to be in 2D. I still have high hopes for it.
- Goldeneye: Great, but so-so graphics
- Epic Micky: Good, hope we will see more gameplay later. (I'm curious about the RPG elements)
- Kirby: Different, but good. I'm sure not that many ppl. will like that style, though.
- DQ IX: It's DQ, ME WANTS 
- Metroid: Gimme plzzzzz
- Donkey Kong: GREAT, this company really knows how to take on old nintendo classics and spice them up
- 3DS: Looks interesting, I'm curious how the 3D photos will look. And Kid Icarus is always a plus. There also seems to be a good/decent 3rd party support for it.
That's basically the main fault of the Wii/DS that most good games are first party and other then that there is only a handful of good 3rd party games.
Overwall way better than the MS press conference. They only showed games and new hardware at the end. Let's hope we will see some Zelda footage from the show floor which doesn't have that terrible controls.
