Steam might not be the best place to buy it since there were some issues with Steam and patches for MOW.

No issues at all. The only problem is that Steam didn't automatically update to the beta patch, but neither did any other version of the game. You just simply needed to install it yourself.

I think a good way to judge the CD key stores would be the MW2 fiasco.

The stores which offered no fuss refunds / replacements are obviously reasonably legit and can be more or less trusted.

pick a different time already..20 events, all at the same time..its always like 3 am for me.. I gotta work in the mornings..even for americans its middle of the day when most people are at work/school.

If they want to be a global site they gotta spread the wealth around.

crossmr: You know, there have been around 2000 people online, server crashed multiple times. That's enough already. Ayway where do they say they are global site? It's not like they give IP ban for countries outside EU, but it still doesn't mean they gotta do those events for everyone. Look at for example gametrailers, or xfire or whatever - they do contests, but only Americans can claim their prize. Even though they are global sites. Here on G2play everyone can get a key, no matter where they are from. You just need to wake up early/don't go to school/work, but you still have the chance.

But I like those events, I got another BFBC2 key. Time to sell it someone or give it t a friend.

It just seems simply stupid to arrange these kinds of events to me. It's like a DDoS seppuku.

They want traffic. Who knows why. But yesterday on19:00 they put new baners and offers on main page and made the hot free keys available 30minutes l later. So they maybe could transfer, say 5% of those visitors waiting for free keys to buy something from their store. I'm sure it's profitable for them. They however need new host or somehow oiptimize it for these events.

After my personal experience with OKS which has cost me to the tune of $845.00 Au for so called legal Win7 and Vista keys, 3 Win7 keys have been disabled so far by MS, If I were you or anyone else for that matter I would NOT recommend to buy ANY online keys from any online store PARTICULARLY ONLINE KEY STORE, EVER regardless if the key you want to buy is for a game, OS or whatever.

In my case at least I regard the people who run OKS a bunch of thief's with NO satisfactory customer service backup what so ever.

OKS were also those biggest hit by the MW2 key issues back when MW2 launched. Every single key from OKS was rescinded by Valve.

That's nice - BF3 Ltd Ed for £17 pounds. Cheaper than Amazon. Very Happy How legit are they? Have they had any problems with things like MW2 keys being revoked after awhile?

Also, any way to change the language to English? Sad

They are completely legal. Games are always cheaper in Russia.

You'll probably encounter a shitload of problems with regional restrictions, though. I can't tell you about them in detail because I am russian and have never actually encountered them Wink I once have activated an intenational version of Civ 5 bought from a GB store because the russian version was delayed. It required some tinkering with proxies but I don't know if it will work when you try to activate a russian key from another country.

As for changing the language, I think the only way is to use Google translate.

This is so cheap... Did EA also make this "uh, key is from another region" fagottery like activision?

Bah for changing language, but cool that they''re legal. Will probably only use them for the EA Origin keys, but at least they're not known for any problems. Smile
