LOL... fuck fixing the working conditions.. lets just buy them some punchin bags..
I realise foxcon make all sorts of shit... and alot of chinese places are like this.. prob parts of our pc are like this.. but apple have GIANT markups..

Yup, they are not really doing anything to solve the problem. The only thing that will stop these suicides is a reformation of the way they treat their employees.

Tell all the Foxconn employees they no longer make Apple products. That should stop them killing themselves. I know If i was in anyway responsible for the likes of the iPad or Apple TV, I would seek death for an end to my shame.

Foxconn make some motherboards for EVGA and XFX, probably loads of other companies too.

I have worked for the US multinational Eaton, that company had some company ethics in place like:
1. The most valuable asset of this company is its personnel.
Also any daughter of this corporation was forbidden to trade with companies that used child labour or ran sweat shops.
Seems to me Apple is mainly interested in money making.

Not only that but they also make the periphial ports to A LOT of other motherboards. The usb and ethernet ports on my gigabyte are foxconn.
Apple just happens to have a huuuuuge work load there which is why there getting most of the attention

we've got better steel deposits than anywhere else in the world. Theres been companies that needed good steel for hydraulics and what not and when these chinese came over for them to test their steel the stuff would shatter. They pretty much get laughed out.
The factory where I used to work brought in material from china which pissed me off but they had to stop using it cause none of the customers would accept it haha. I think 1 customer didn't mind but they couldn't order bulk for just 1 customer. Pure win. |

i agree about the outsourcing. my customers love to complain about having to talk to people in india about their printer, computer, whatever and yet they keep right on buying those brands and supporting those companies. i don't know about you guys but it seems to me if one of these guys would get a clue and bring the jobs for their stuff back over here it would
a) give someone a job yaaay
b) look good for doing such a thing while everyone else continues to outsource and
c) it could be a big selling point for them. no more talking with people you can't understand and who don't listen to what you're trying to tell them. it could go something like "we bring the jobs back to amurrrica, fuuuuuck yeeaaaaa"
am i on crack or is that not sound reasoning?
