Not to start the retarded blahblah vs blah, but yeah, ME2 was definitely an overall better game. Stronger production values, solid game-play, enjoyable story... but the core idea behind this one is something a bit more special and should at least be attempted again.
It is interesting how most Euro reviewers are giving it higher scores compared to North American. Seems like Euros are more willing to forgive graphic and game-play mishaps. Hm.

On the airport mission in the middle east objective is to acquire flightlogs and get out w/o being spotted. Is this possible to do everything there stealth stile? After hacking computer and disabling cameras I don't know how to get past by guard on the tower, didn't see any other route and while playing the recruit I don't have any abilities that could help me.

If you are using a Geforce, maybe you should set maximum number of prerendered frames to zero in Nvidia Control Panel.

After getting really annoyed by the camera/mouse thing I did what I usually hate to do in games like this: I switched on the 360-controller. Controls are fine with the gamepad, but as soon as I need to shoot something I cry for a decent mouse/keyboard control scheme... thankfully I usually avoid shootouts and just stealth my way through in this game.
Having a lot of fun with it now too. Apart from having to use the 360 controller, there's one more annoying thing to me though: it's often quite illogical how characters react to the conversation options. One character seems to respond very well to being professional, then all of a sudden you get -1 reputation out of knowhere and when replaying the scene it turns out that at that point I should have been 'suave', which was just not logical.

Would you guys say that specializing in 2 weapons useless ? I'm currently putting points into both Pistol and Assault rifle but i'm thinking of starting over and only focus on one weapon and put points into martial arts or that other skill that give passive bonus to weapons and medic kits.
I just don't know if it would be worth it. I'm at 13 % right now

I just went with assault rifles; never felt the need to use anything else. Had the smg's as backup but used those mostly for fun a few times.

You can max out about 3 skills I believe. I go for stealth, melee and pistol.
Assault rifle is still viable at low skill, after I've killed some enemies stealthily, or chain-shot, hehe.
6-shot instant headhots at bosses ftw !

ME2 didn't have a better story. The plot was just silly.

ME2 is about 196,42 times better than this POS. I'm playing it on Insanity right now and am having a total blast. When presented with a challenge everything draws you in twice as much. This game has nothing on Mass Effect. Bioware are gods. Hail Bioware.

Sorry if it has been asked but is there any tweak to force AA without making the conversation text disappear ?
It look much better with AA but that glitch make it impossible to use it.

About Surkov:
Spoiler: | Is there any way to actually kill him? I've seen it happening on videos before game release, but I passed the game 2 times now and I can't do it. After I break in to the Embassy and save him, at one point he just thanked me for helping him escape, and when I was replaying the game as Jack Bauer and slaughtered everyone, he held me at gunpoint, so I disarmed him and shot him in the knee... Couldn't kill him though. Do you have to side with Broyko to kill him? |

Just beat it for the third time with Veteran on Hard difficulty. It was actually a little bit disappointing really - the Veteran dialogue option came up a few times during training, and then TWICE thereafter for the entire game. Didn't change much at all.
Also, the third ending that I got had huge consistency issues...
Spoiler: |
I sided with Halbec, but rescued Scarlet and Nina as well. However, the final cutscene only involved Leland, and neither of the women (both of which had a 10 trust rating) appeared. Also, the end mission briefing mentioned absolutely nothing about what happened to either.
|
I'm also just going to come out and ask this, since I've tried for three games to shed some light on this G22 character....
Spoiler: |
What is the story with Sis? The highest I've gotten her dossier is 75%. I've spared her life all three times, she's given me the locket, I mentioned the locket and the story behind it in conversation with Albatross. Then, she abruptly vanishes. I've tried working with Albatross, I've tried executing him (Sis seemed to harbor some resentment towards him), nothing changed.
Can you get involved with her character more in some way? Or is she just filler?

That's interesting. The first time I played through I went with the same option you did, shooting him in the leg, I always figured execution was an option after that if you took the aggressive route. I guess not?
Anyway, if you let Breyko live (and perhaps don't piss him off too much), he will show up at Surkov's office when you're there, and dispatch Championshik. Then, you've got the option to let Breyko cut up Surkov. The dialogue choice was "Watch" (as in watch him torture). I didn't pick it though so I don't know what happens.

Crackfix does remove lag in some situations, but not in all.

Even though I refuse to play the game with a gamepad, I'm gonna try and see if I still get the silly slowdowns :E

I couldn't play this pos using kb+mouse even if I wanted too, mouse movement is just stupid really, so I turned to 360 Pad.

I had a blast with the game
Got all the women, got almost all dossiers and saved everybody you could.
I liked it as much as splinter cell, even more with the awesome melee, but not enough gadgets.

God, it doesn't actually randomly stutter and hang with the 360 pad. Why did they mess with it, UT3 never had any of these random issues, use those settings please
