I bet Americans mostly value lol wut TPS elements while Gentlemen from Europe enjoy the dialogue and RPG elements while sipping whiskey and smoking cigars.

If anyone is having problems with game skipping/stuttering when moving the mouse, check out the obsidian forums, they have a fix that works for some.

Say what you will about Americans, and I will agree about most of it Laughing, at least they know to make their games relatively well. Wink

Myself I like good games, but done well - not having to overlook plethora of bugs and clunkiness just to have some good experience.

I don't think it is unreasonable to expect some polish in games.

Yeah, I agree, I was just kidding. European games, especially when it comes to Russia and Ukraine are way too unpolished. Great ideas behind them, but they are nearly unplayable sometimes.

In regards to AP - I honestly was expecting worse. I'm playing on my 2nd PC (It's very average and still runs on XP) and it's relatively smooth. A minor stutter here an there, but it's very enjoyable.

What the... so you're saying that as recruit I can't specialize in any of the skill-paths? That's just fucking dumb, not challenging.

1) Does the character snap-turns diagonally for everyone when playing with keyboard ? Even legit owners ?

2) Turning the camera motion blurs even the character ?!

Well one could argue this makes sense as the game is played in third person more to the core, as in being an observer(if that makes any sense whatsoever).

You can, you get to pick that later on. Recruit stuff is just what you start with points in and in the case of Recruit you get points by choosing the dialog option to spend for yourself.

Taking "Recruit" as class and keeping with it allows you to select Veteran at the next playtrough which is basically a combination of the soldier, spy and tech class from the sounds of it, on the other hand you can't specialize in any skill properly (Above rank 5.) I think and you don't have any pre-set or customized skill so they all start at zero, on the plus side you can take the Recruit dialogue option to get two extra perks that improve AP score a bit and add XP I think it was.

That and playing on hard mode should be a nice challenge, AI tends to be a bit inactive and inaccurate at times though, heh.
(I had no problems with the trial/tutorial tests and scored above 100 on each of them and the bonus objectives earning several ranks of respect for all involved employees and the hate of every guard in the building it seems, particularly the dude whom I shot in the nuts with a tracer round and I'm hitting on his girl now being rank 6 / liked with her so that's going all according to plan, next to get all others up to higher rank and then end it with a massive gang bang or something, haha!, kidding, I'll just exploit them.)

That crackfix fixed the stuttering problem for me, along with some other slowdowns. Game plays much better now. It would look much better too if not for those horrible animations, especially when it comes to walking...that's just scary.

Just finished and it was fucking AWESOME! Sorry about you guys having PC technical shit, you know what Obsidian is like Rolling Eyes I don't think they have EVER released a bug free title, but at least the 360 was consistent and I had no crashes or stuttering shit Smile I'ma gonna write up a proper review shortly, but for now;

Amazing game, technically flawed but the premise, gameplay, audio, dialogue, interaction *and* consequences combine to make a magnificent experience. If Deus Ex is a 10/10, Vampire Bloodlines is an 8/10 and Deus Ex IW is 6/10, then this is easily 8.5 or 9. Overlook the technical shit, stop thinking of it as a fucking shooter that relies solely on how well you point your gun, and instead think of it as a MUCH smaller modern-day Deus Ex clone ... and you'll not go far wrong. Strongly recommend it to everyone who has PATIENCE (and isn't a ritalin-doped Gears of Bore fagboy) to deal with some minor technical issues.

... 770/1000 GS for a single playthrough? Not bad Very Happy Missed a couple of 5GS achievements that I really shouldn't have, but that's more than likely due to the order I took the missions.

Oh and I'd say it took me around 19hrs to do absolutely everything I possible could. If I missed anything, it was VERY well hidden >_>

Let's hope Obsidian does the same thing with this game as with their older games, release patches to fix most of teh problems. If there is one rule to enjoy a Obsidian game, it's "wait atleast a month after release".

So downloaded the skidrow release mounted it into daemon tools but when I try to run the setup I get an error message.
"Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed."
wtf? O.o
Corrupted download or something? Never had that before.

AAA games are all good, they're fun, but never anything special. Little gems in the rough like this is something I enjoy the most.

Well, not exactly like this, this is more like a failed AAA title. But still fun.

Great game so far although I do not like the sporadic stutter issue during play.Has nothing to do with my system as its high speed. Also the short delay in accessing the armory like when you switch from guns to buying armor. There are so bugs here that need fixing to streamline play.

EDIT:I guess the new skidrow fix addresses the stutter issues.
